Abstract
bangunan perkuliahan yang terdiri dari 12 lantai dan semi basement yang pada awalnya didesain menggunakan struktur beton bertulang biasa dengan system struktur Moment Resisting Frame (MRF) . Perencanaan yang sebelumnya didesain dengan ukuran kolom dan balok yang relative besar sehingga menambah berat sendiri dan akan membebani pondasi.
Dalam tugas akhir ini dilakukan perencanaan ulang menggunakan struktur baja komposit dengan system rangka bresing konsentris khusus dengan jenis inverted V. Sistem rangka bresing konsentris khusus dikembangkan sebagai penahan gaya lateral dan memiliki tingkat kekakuan yang cukup baik dibanding system Moment Resisting Frame ( MRF ) sehingga lebih tepat untuk diterapkan pada gedung yang tinggi
Dari analisa dan hasil perhitungan diperoleh hasil, yaitu: tebal pelat atap 11 cm, pelat lantai gedung 11 cm, dimensi balok induk WF600.200.13.23, dimensi kolom CFT 600.600.15.15, dimensi bresing WF300.200.9.14, base plate menggunakan fixed plate dari katalog Continental Steel. Sambungan struktur utama direncanakan sebagai sambungan kaku dengan baut yang telah disesuaikan. Perencanaan pondasi menggunakan bore pile diameter 80 cm dengan tulangan utama 16D13 dengan kedalaman 4 m yang dimulai dari elevasi -3,5m. Sloof ukuran 40 cm x 60 cm dengan tulangan utama 5D22 dan tulangan geser Ø10-300.

The new building Administration Department Brawijaya University consist of 12 floors and a semi-basement originally designed using Reinforced Concrete with Moment Resisting Frame Structural System. In original design, the dimension of the columns and beams relatively large so it will affect to its self weight and this case will aggravating the foundation performance .
In this Final Project, The New Building will be modified using the Composite Steel with Spesific Concentrically Braced Frame (CBF) System Structure with Inverted V Brace. Concentrically Braced Frame developed as a Lateral Force Resisting and has a good level of rigidity than Moment Resisting Frame System Structure (MRF) and this design more precisely to be applied on this Building.
From analyzing and calculating, the results which are obtained are 11 cm thick plate of roof, 11 cm the plate of floor, WF600.200.13.23 the dimension of main beam, CFT 600.600.15.15 the dimension column, WF300.200.9.14 dimension of brace, base plate using fixed plate, from catalogue of Continental Steel. The main splicing structure is planned as rigid connection with suitable bolt. Foundation planning uses pile of Bore Pile with 80 cm diameter and 4 m depth that start from -3,5m from the surface. The dimension of Sloof is 40 cm X 60 cm with the main reinforcement 5D22 and shear reinforcement Ø 10-300.
