Abstract
Pengaruh penambahan gold nanopartikel pada sel surya tersensitasi kuantum-dot CdSe telah berhasil diinvestigasi. Gold nanopartikel ditambahkan pada kuantum dot CdSe sebelum digunakan sebagai sensitizer. Absorbansi, transmitansi, dan pita energi dari sensitizer diukur dengan menggunakan spektrometer UV-Vis. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan gold nanopartikel dapat meningkatkan absorbansi dari sensitizer kuantum-dot CdSe. Pada penelitian ini, QDSCs disusun dengan struktur lapisan yang terdiri dari TiO2 sebagai fotoanode, gold nanopartikel dan kuantum dot CdSe sebagai sensitizer, KI sebagai elektrolit dan karbon black sebagai elektroda pembanding. Penambahan gold nanopartikel pada sensitizer meningkatkan rata-rata efisiensi dari QDSCs sebesar 108%.

The influence of addition of gold nanoparticles on quantum-dot CdSe sensitized solar cells has been investigated. Gold nanoparticles were added in quantum dot CdSe before used as a sensitizer. The absorbance, transmittance and gap energy of the sensitizer observed and calculated by UV-Vis spectrometer. The results showed that the addition of colloidal gold nanoparticles can be enhanced the absorbance of quantum dot CdSe sensitizer. In this research, the QDSCs were arranged in the sandwich structure consecutively TiO2 as photoelectrode, gold nanoparticle and quantum dot CdSe as a sensitizer, KI as electrolyte and black carbon as counter-electrode. The addition of gold nanoparticles onto quantum dot CdSe as a sensitizer enhanced the average efficiency of the QDSC by about 108%.
