Abstract

Penelitian studi awal panel resonator dan difuser silinder polyvynil carbonate dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah panel resonator dan difuser dapat dibuat dengan memakai bahan dasar pipa PVC. Pipa PVC dipilih menjadi bahan dasar karena memiliki sifat kaku dan juga bentuk permukaan cekung yang dapat dijadikan difuser. Parameter dari resonator dan difuser dari panel diuji pada ruangan reverberation chamber dan anechoic chamber pada laboratorium fisika akustik, departemen fisika FMIPA ITS. Pengujian parameter resonator yaitu kemamuan resonansi dilakukan pada ruangan anechoic dengan metode anechoic room. Pengujian parameter difuser, pola hamburan dilakukan dengan metode anechoic, sementara koefisien scattering dengan menggunakan metode reverberation room. Dari hasil pengukuran didapat bahwa resonator memiliki frekuensi resonansi pada 540 Hz. Difuser dengan pipa kecil cocok ditempatkan pada sudut 0˚ frekuensi 125 Hz dengan nilai S (koefisien scattering) 0.98. pipa sedang pada sudut 30˚ frekuensi 500 Hz dengan nilai S 0.99. pipa besar pada sudut 0˚ frekuensi 500 Hz dengan nilai S 0.93. ============================================================================================================== Research of preliminary study of resonator and diffuser panels from polyvinyl carbonate cylinder have been done with the goals to find out if resonator and diffuser panels can be made from PVC pipe. PVC pipe are choosen because of the rigid properties and the form of the surface area that fit to be a diffuser. Parameters of the resonator and diffuser are tested at the reverberation chamber and anechoic chamber on the acoustic physics laboratory of Physics, FMIPA ITS. The parameters measured for the resonator is the resonance ability is measured by using anechoic chamber method. The parameters measured for the diffusers, the scattering pattern measured using anechoic chamber method, and the scattering coefficent measured using reverberation chamber method. From the research, resonant ability are found at the 540 Hz frequency for all three panels. Difuser with small diameter pipe are best at 0˚ 125 Hz with S 0.98. medium diameter pipe best at 30˚ 500 Hz with S 0.99. big diameter pipe at 0˚ 500 Hz with S 0.93.
