Abstract
Penelitian ini menggunakan pembangkit listrik tenaga uap dengan siklus Rankine sederhana pada PLTU 3 Bangka Belitung. Daya yang dihasilkan pada unit pembangkit PLTU 3 Bangka Belitung sebesar 30 MW. PLTU 3 Bangka Belitung terdiri dari satu turbin dan dua jenis sistem feedwater heater yang tersusun dari 5 closed feedwater heater dan 1 open feedwater heater. Feedwater heater berfungsi untuk meningkatkan temperatur air sebelum masuk boiler sehingga energi yang dibutuhkan boiler lebih sedikit dibandingkan tanpa feedwater heater. Studi lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh operasi feedwater heater terhadap performa pembangkit.
Penelitian ini memvariasikan operasi feedwater heater pada kondisi off service dengan analisis termodinamika menggunakan software cycle tempo. Perhitungan software cycle tempo menggunakan data heat balance. Pemodelan pembangkit dilakukan pada delapan kondisi variasi yaitu variasi 1 kondisi LPH 1 off, variasi 2 kondisi LPH 2 off, variasi 3 kondisi LPH 3 off, variasi 4 kondisi HPH 2 off, variasi 5 kondisi HPH 2 dan LPH 1 off, variasi 6 kondisi HPH 2 dan LPH 2 off, variasi 7 kondisi HPH 2 dan LPH 3 off, variasi 8 HPH 1 off serta dilakukan variasi kalori bahan bakar batubara pada pembangkit.
Hasil penelitian menggunakan software Cycle Tempo pada kondisi eksisting menghasilkan daya 30000 kW dan efisiensi 30.04 %. Kondisi eksisting mempunyai efisiensi tertinggi diantara kondisi variasi yang lain. Hasil paling optimal terdapat pada kondisi variasi pertama dengan daya 29.977 kW dan efisiensi 29.967 %, sedangkan hasil paling rendah terdapat pada variasi ke delapan dengan daya 29498 kW dan efisiensi 29.585%. Pada variasi kalori batubara menunjukkan penurunan daya dikarenakan m ̇_steam yang didapat sangat kecil dan berdampak kepada daya pembangkit.

The electric steam power plant with simple Rankine cycle in PLTU 3 Bangka Belitung was used as on object in this study. The power plant unit of PLTU 3 Bangka Belitung prodused the power of 30 MW. PLTU 3 Bangka Belitung consistis of one turbine and two kinds of feedwater heater system composed of five closed feedwater heater and one open feedwater heater. The function of feedwater heater is to raise the temperature of water priode entering the boiler so that the boiler needs less energy. The further study is needed to determine the effect of feedwater heater operation on power plant performance.
This study was performed under varying feedwater heater operation on or off service condition with thermodynamic analysis using cycle tempo software. The extrapolation of cycle tempo software was based on the data of heat balance. The plant modelling was performed under eight variastion of condition. Variation one was performed under LPH 1 off condition, variations of three conditions LPH 3 off, variations of four conditions HPH 2 off, variations of five conditions HPH 2 and LPH 1 off, variation of six conditions HPH 2 and LPH 2 off, variations of seven HPH conditions 2 and LPH 3 off, variations of eight HPH 1 off with the variation of coal fuel calorie consumed by the power plant.
The result of this study showed that the existing condition produced the power of 30000kW and the efficiency value was 30.04%. The existing condition gave the best efficiency value among the other variations of condition. Variation one gave the most optimum result, it produced the power of 29.977 kW and the efficiency value was 29.967%. While the variation eight gave the pcorest result variation eight produced the power of 29.948 kW and the efficiency value was 29.585%. The result under the variation of coal calorie showed a decrease in power since m ̇_steam obtained was so small and it could effect the power plant.
