Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh waktu hidrotermal dan penambahan rasio mol Na2O/Al2O3 pada feedstock gel terhadap sintesis zeolit X dari kaolin secara langsung (tanpa metakaolinisasi). Zeolit X disintesis melalui tiga tahap, pembuatan seed gel, feedstock gel dan overall gel yang diikuti dengan proses hidrotermal. Padatan hasil sintesis dikarakterisasi menggunakan FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared), XRD (X-Ray Diffraction), dan Scanning Electron Microscopy–Energy Dispersive X-ray (SEM-EDX). Hasil karakterisasi dengan XRD dan FTIR menunjukkan bahwa fase zeolit X akan muncul pada rasio mol Na2O/Al2O3 yang lebih besar pada waktu hidrotermal 4-12 jam. Namun, hasil yang diperoleh masih terdapat fase lain dalam kristal, yaitu zeolit P. Zeolit X dapat disintesis dengan metode hidrotermal pada suhu 105 °C selama 4, 6, dan 12 jam.

The purpose of this research was to study the effect of hydrothermal time and the addition mol ratio Na2O/Al2O3 in feedstock gel on synthesis of zeolite X directly from kaolin Bangka Belitung (without metakaolination). Zeolite X was synthesized through three stages, namely compounding seed gel, compounding feedstock gel and making overall gel followed by hydrothermal process. The solid product were characterized using FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared), XRD (X-Ray Diffraction), and Scanning Electron Microscopy–Energy Dispersive X-ray (SEM-EDX). The result of characterized using XRD and FTIR show if zeolite X phase formed when the amount of mole Na2O increases for 4-12 hours. There were some impurity on the synthesized zeolite X like zeolite P. Zeolite X could synthesis with hydrothermal methode in 105 °C for 4, 6, and 12 hours
