Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi otomotif yang saat ini
berkembang sangat pesat. Para produsen otomotif juga
berlomba-lomba meproduksi kendaraan yang mengutamakan
keselamatan pengemudi dan efifiensi mesin serta aspek
aerodinamika yang terus dikembangkan. Untuk memenuhi
kebutuhan tersebut mobil Nogogeni 4 adalah salah satu
kendaraan yang dirancang dengan menggunakan tenaga listrik,
dan bentuk bodi yang ringan serta aerodinamis.
Untuk mengetahui gaya aerodinamika pada kendaraan
maka dilakukan pengamatan karakteristik aliran fluida.
Parameter yang dibahas dalam tugas akhir ini adalah kecepatan
dan tekanan aliran fluida disekitar mobil Nogogeni 4.
Pengamatan tersebut menggunakan software fluent 6.3.26.
Pengujian dilakukan melalui pemodelan numerik dengan
menggunakan software fluent 6.3.26 secara dua dimensi.
Karakteristik aliran dinyatakan dalam grafik distribusi CP dan
distribusi kecepatan disekitar bodi.
Dari hasil analisa aliran yang melintasi bodi mobil
Nogogeni 4 coefficient drag (CD) yang diperoleh saat simulasi
pada bodi mobil Nogogeni 4 bernilai 0,0983. sedangkan
coefficient lift (CL) yang diperoleh saat simulasi pada bodi mobil
Nogogeni 4 bernilai 0,8629. Serta dari profil kecepatan pada
daerah buritan tampak bahwa separasi pada daerah upperside
bermula pada l = 2.47217 dan pada lowerside pada l = 2.27257.

Nowadays, automotive technology has developed very
rapidly. Hence, automotive companies also produce to develop
vehicles that give priority to the safety of the driver, engine
efficiency, and aerodynamic aspect. Aerodinamic factor contributes
a lot to the pace of vehicles when running, for it influences the
amounts of drag on vehicles. Nogogeni 4 is one of vehicle that is
specially designed to meet those needs. Nogogeni 4 is deliberately
created to use electric power, along with light and aerodinamic body
shape.
To find out the aerodynamic forces on the vehicle then to to
observations of flow characteristics around the Nogogeni 4 Car with
use fluent 6.3.26. The aim of this final project is to help the electric
vehicle team in determining the characteristics of fluid that flow
across the body of vehicle, in this case Nogogeni 4, that include the
contours of pressure, pressure coefficient (CP), drag coefficient (CD)
as well as lift coefficient (CL) using 2D main display visualization
through a software namely fluent 6.3.26.
From the analysis of the flow that crosses the prototype car
body, Nogogeni 4, drag coefficient (CD) that is obtained during the
simulation in the body of Nogogeni worth 0.0983. On the other hand,
the lift coefficient (CL) that is obtained during the simulation worth
0.8629. From the velocity profile at the stern area, it appears that
the separation on upperside area begins at l = 2.47217 and on the
lowerside begins at l = 2.27257.
