Abstract

Anak-anak pada usia 4 hingga 6 tahun berada dalam golden phase, dimana perkembangan mereka sangat pesat, dan anak akan sangat aktif sehingga membuat orang tua kesulitan mengawasi anak sepanjang waktu. Hal ini membuat banya kasus yang melibatkan anak hilang terjadi dan kasus-kasus ini pada umumnya terjadi di ruang public atau ruang terbuka, seperti taman umum, lapangan, atau pusat perbelanjaan. Untuk membantu orang tua mengawasi dan menemukan anak mereka lebih mudah, dibutuhkan produk yang dipakai oleh anak dan memiliki fitur pelacak posisi. Konsepnya adalah orang tua dapat dengan mudah melacak posisi anak secara real time melalui aplikasi pada telepon genggam mereka yang terhubung dengan alat pelacak atau tracker di produk yang dikenakan oleh anaknya. Ada cukup banyak produk untuk melacak posisi anak yang sudah beredar di pasaran, misalnya jam tangan dengan GPS tracker, gelang dengan Bluetooth, dan yang lainnya. Tantangan dari projek ini adalah bagaimana mendesain alat pelacak di tempat yang tidak mencolok, membuat anak tidak merasa risih mengenakan produk tersebut, dan sulit untuk dilepas sendiri oleh anak sehingga memiliki kemungkinan kecil alat pelacak itu terpisah dari tubuh anak. Setelah melakukan riset, sepatu anak adalah produk yang paling berpotensi untuk ditambahi dengan fitur alat pelacak ini nantinya. Hal ini dikarenakan sepatu adalah produk yang dikenakan anak saat anak keluar ke sekolah atau ke tempat umum lainnya, dan untuk anak usia 4-6, melepas sepatu masih termasuk kegiatan yang sulit sehingga kemungkinan sepatu dapat dilepas oleh anak minimal. Projek ini diharapkan dapat menghasilkan produk sepatu anak dengan alat pelacak sehingga anak akan mengenakannya tanpa risih dan tidak dengan mudah dilepas. Alat pelacak dapat dipasang di sol sepatu, badan sepatu, atau lidah sepatu.

Kids around the age of 4 to 6 years old are in the golden phase where their developments are rapid and they would be so active that their parents often have difficulties watching them all the time. Thus, quite a lot of cases involving children lost happened and these cases usually occurred around public places such as Public Park or department store. To help the parents watch and find their kids easier, the plan is to make kids’ wear product with position tracker feature. The idea is for the parents to able to track down their kids’ location in real time via mobile application connected to the tracker in the product quickly before anything unwanted happened to the kids. There are quite a lot of kids’ trackers products, such as: GPS watches, bluetooth tracker bracelet and etc. But the challenge here is how to attach the tracker so it doesn’t attract the kidnapper’s attention to the kids and with low possibility to be detached by the kids themselves. After researching about the kids’ wear products, kids shoe is the most potential product to be attached by tracker. Kids use shoe for going to school or any public places and for kids around that age, taking off shoe on their own is still quite a difficult task, thus resulting a minimum possibility that the shoe and tracker would be separated with the kids easily. So this final project is making a series of kids shoes with GPS tracker attached to them. It might be casual shoes, formal shoes, or sport shoes that kids would wear, and each of them attached with tracker. Might that be at the insole, shoe tongue, at the back of the body, or hidden at the outsole part.
