Abstract
Kecamatan Kebomas yang berpenduduk 93.365 jiwa
terletak di Kabupaten Gresik. Pada saat ini kondisi tempat penampungan sementara (TPS) di Kecamatan Kebomas perlu dikaji, karena belum sesuai dengan ketentuan SNI-3242-2008. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji kondisi TPS berdasarkan SNI-3242-2008, menentukan kebutuhan unit penunjang di TPS hingga tahun 2023, merancang bangunan TPS, dan menentukan kebutuhan kendaraan pengangkut
Metoda yang digunakan untuk mengkaji dan merencanakan kebutuhan fasilitas transfer dan pengangkutan
adalah dengan memproyeksikan jumlah penduduk dan jumlah
timbulan sampah. Selanjutnya kondisi TPS dibandingkan dengan ketentuan SNI-3242-2008. Kebutuhan akan kendaraan
pengangkut ditetapkan dengan memperhatikan besarnya timbulan sampah. Hasil kajian menunjukkan jumlah TPS yang harus tersedia pada tahun 2013 adalah 26 buah. Pada tahun 2023 dibutuhkan TPS sebanyak 36 buah, seiring dengan pertambahan penduduk. Kontainer yang tersedia pada tahun 2013 hanya berjumlah 24 buah. Jumlah yang seharusnya disediakan 26 buah. Pada tahun 2023 diperlukan 44 buah kontainer. Berdasarkan kapasitas pelayanannya, seluruh TPS di daerah studi pada tahun 2013 hingga 2023 dikategorikan ke dalam TPS tipe I dan II.
Dengan rata-rata pengangkutan sebanyak 7 rit per hari, maka fasilitas pengangkutan yang dibutuhkan pada tahun 2013 sebanyak 5 truk arm-roll, sedangkan pada tahun 2023 dibutuhkan 6 truk arm-roll.

Kebomas District, of which population is 93,365, is
located in Gresik Town. The present condition of the transfer
stations (TS) in Kebomas District needs to be reviewed, due to
the incompatibility with the national standards SNI 3242-2008.
The objectives of this research are: (1) to evaluate the solid
waste TS condition based on the national standards SNI 3242-
2008, (2) to determine the need of supporting facility of the TS in
the study area until 2023, (3) to design the TS construction, and
(4) determine the need of transport vehicles.
The need of transfer and transport facilities until 2023
was determined according to the population growth and the solid
waste generation rate. The TS condition was evaluated according
to the national standards SNI 3242-2008.
The results showed that the number of TS, which should
have been provided in 2013, was 26 units. Thirty six TS have to
be provided in 2023 due to the increasing population. The
number of solid waste containers in all TS in 2013 was only 24
units. The sufficient number of container was actually 26 units.
Fourty four solid waste containers are to be provided in 2023.
All TS in 2013 to 2023 are classified into types I and II. With an
average solid waste transport efficiency of 7 trips per day, the
required number of arm-roll trucks in 2013 was 5 units.
Accordingly, 6 arm-roll trucks have to be provided in 2023.
