Abstract

Pada perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi saat ini, informasi merupakan suatu hal yang yang tidak terlepas dari kebutuhan manusia. Teknologi yang dinilai efisien untuk menyampaikan informasi di tempat-tempat umum ialah papan running text. Penulisan text yang akan dikirim ke running text selama ini mengandalkan peranti sambungan USB, baik dengan peranti keyboard komputer maupun flashdisk yang mengharuskan pengguna berkontak fisik dengan papan running text. Hal tersebut tentu menyusahkan pengguna apabila papan running text berada pada tempat yang susah dijangkau. Adanya perkembangan teknologi seperti wireless yang dapat membantu komunikasi tanpa menggunakan kabel dan perangkat canggih seperti smartphone Android untuk memudahkan dalam pengiriman suatu informasi. Pada Tugas Akhir ini akan dibangun suatu running text yang dikendalikan menggunakan smartphone Android via bluetooth dengan mikrokontroler sebagai kendalinya. Hasil pengujian alat menunjukkan bahwa alat ini mampu menjadi solusi alternatif untuk memasukkan text ke dalam papan running text dengan mudah dan dapat beroperasi hingga jarak 60 meter tanpa penghalang dan 15 meter dengan penghalang serta dilengkapi sebuah bel yang dapat digunakan sebagai indikator manual apabila running text telah terisi informasi baru.

In the development of science and technology today, information is a matter that can not be separated from human life. Technology is considered efficient to convey information in public places is the running text board. Writing text that will be sent to the running text board have been relying on the device's USB connection, either with a computer keyboard or flashdisk device that requires users physical contact with the running text board. It is certainly troublesome users when the running text board are in places that difficult to reach. The development of technologies such as wireless communication that can help without going through an intermediary cables and advanced devices such as Android smartphones to facilitate the delivery of information. In this final project will be built a running text that is controlled using an Android smartphone via bluetooth with microcontroller as a control. The results of the testing tool indicate that this device can be an alternative solution to enter text into the board running text with ease and can operate up to a distance of 60 meters with no barrier and 15 meters with obstructions and equipped a bell that can be used as an indicator manually if running text has been charged new information.
