Abstract

Kekayaan alam dan budaya merupakan komponen penting dalam industri
pariwisata di Indonesia. Sektor pariwisata tersebut memiliki nilai kontribusi besar bagi
devisa negara. Namun potensi lokasi wisata di beberapa wilayah di tanah air belum secara
maksimal untuk digali, sehingga hanya tempat-tempat tertentu yang diketahui dan diminati
wisatawan. Akibatnya sektor pariwisata yang sebenarnya mampu mewujudkan pemerataan
ekonomi hingga ke daerah belum tercapai. Kabupaten Bondowoso adalah salah satu
kabupaten di Provinsi Jawa Timur yang terletak di sebelah timur Pulau Jawa. Selain dikenal
sebagai daerah tapal kuda, kota ini dianggap sebagai pusat kebudayaan Megalitikum dan
menawarkan banyak hal menarik untuk dijelajahi dan ditemukan oleh para pengunjung.
Untuk mengakomodasi seluruh kebutuhan pengunjung selama berkunjung ke daerah wisata
di Bondowoso, maka dibutuhkan sebuah tempat tinggal sementara dengan fasilitas
penunjang bagi pengunjung yang juga dapat digunakan sebagai media promosi kebudayaan
daerah setempat.
Metode perancangan yang digunakan adalah dengan melakukan pendekatan
kekayaan lokal daerah setempat sesuai dengan target pasar yang ditentukan, tentunya
dengan menguraikan karakteristik daerah terhadap pengguna dengan mengacu pada teori
tentang standard keamanan fungsi dan kelayakan unsur – unsur pembentuk ruang.
Wawancara dan pengamatan langsung ke lapangan untuk mengetahui apa yang dibutuhkan.
Sedangkan studi pustaka, majalah, dan internet digunakan untuk mendapatkan data
pendukung yang lebih relevan.
Dalam konteks aplikasi desain interior, hasil perancangan menunjukkan peran
penting objek desain sebagai icon baru destinasi pariwisata dan juga sebagai bentuk
partisipasi perusahaan dalam menjaga kelestarian cagar budaya dan mendukung penuh
pengembangan wisata Bondowoso untuk menarik wisatawan untuk berkunjung.

Natural and cultural wealth is an important component in the tourism industry in
Indonesia. The tourism sector has a major contribution to the value of foreign exchange.
However, the potential tourist sites in some areas of the country have not been maximally
to be explored, so that only certain places are known and attracted tourists. As a result, the
tourism sector which is actually able to realize economic equality has not been achieved up
to the area. Regency is one of regencies in East Java province which lies to the east of the
island of Java. Besides being known as a horseshoe area, the city is considered the center
of the Megalithic culture and offers many exciting things to be explored and discovered by
the visitors. To accommodate the needs of visitors during a visit to the tourist area in
Bondowoso, then takes a temporary shelter with facilities for visitors that also could be
used as a local culture media campaign.
Design method used is to perform local wealth approach the local area in
accordance with the specified target market, of course, the user describes the characteristics
of the area with reference to the theory of security standards and proper function of the
elements - the building-blocks of space. Interviews and observations directly into the field
to find out what is needed. While the study of literature, magazines, and the Internet are
used to obtain a more relevant supporting data.
In the context of interior design applications, the results show the important role
design object design as a new icon tourism destination and also as a form of corporate
participation in preserving the cultural heritage and fully support the development of
tourism Bondowoso to attract tourists to visit.
