Abstract

Proteksi terhadap sistem kelistrikan serta peralatannya adalah hal yang sangat dibutuhkan dan sangat penting dalam sistem tenaga listrik. Sistem proteksi berperan penting dalam mendeteksi adanya gangguan dan dapat mencegah kerusakan yang terjadi. Setting dan koordinasi rele pengaman yang tepat diperlukan agar rele pengaman selektif dalam mengamankan daerah yang terjadi gangguan. PLTU Paiton merupakan salah satu komplek pembangkit yang sangat vital dan penting. Apabila terjadi kerusakan atau gangguan, bisa jadi sebagian Jawa akan mengalami pemadaman bergilir atau black out Jawa-Bali apabila tidak dilindungi oleh pengaman yang tepat. Selama lima tahun belum dilakukan review mengenai koordinasi proteksi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan studi untuk mengevaluasi dan meningkatkan keandalan sistem. Tugas Akhir ini akan membahas analisis dan evaluasi terhadap koordinasi rele pengaman pada PLTU Paiton. Pembahasan yang akan dibahas bagaimana menentukan setting koordinasi rele seperti rele arus lebih fasa dan rele ground fault yang tepat pada sistem kelistrikan. Dari hasil analisis koordinasi proteksi kurva arus waktu kondisi existing dapat diketahui bahwa beberapa CB bekerja jauh di atas perhitungan setting sehingga CB tidak bisa mengamankan bila ada gangguan overload. Melalui hasil analisis dan perhitungan manual direkomendasikan penyetelan pick up rele arus lebih dan penyetelan grading time rele. Hasil plot koordinasi kurva arus waktu existing untuk rele arus lebih gangguan tanah masih menggunakan kurva invers disarankan untuk melakukan resetting dan hanya menggunakan kurva waktu instan (definite time). ================================================================================================================== Protection against electrical systems and equipment is very necessary and very important in the power system. Protection system plays an important role in detecting the disturbance and may prevent damage that caused by disturbance. Good coordination protection system can improve the reliability of power system and isolate the area from disturbance so can prevent blackouts in other areas. Paiton is one of the plants that very vital and important. In case of damage or distubances, it could be part of Java will experiences rolling blackouts or lose the Java-Bali power if it is not protected by a reliable and right protection. This final project will discuss the analysis and evaluation of the safety relay coordination at Paiton Power Unit 1 and 2. The discussion that will be addressed in this final project is how to determine settings such coordination of phase overcurrent and ground fault relay is right and reliable on the electrical system. From the analysis of the time current curve protection coordination in existing condition can be seen that some CB work far above from the calculation setting, so that the CB can not be secure when there is overload disturbance. Through the analysis and manual calculation recommended setting overcurrent relays pick up and adjustment grading time relay. The results of plot existing coordination time current curve for overcurrent ground fault relays show using inverse curve. It is not appropriate because the value of the fault current is definitely, so that the setting for the relay use the definite curve.
