Abstract

Di era yang semakin berkembang ini Indonesia perlu fasilitas khusus terutama bagi kebutuhan bayi. Dari tahun ke tahun masih terdapat angka kematian bayi yang setidaknya pada tahun 2012 masih mencapai angka total sebanyak 1283 jiwa. Salah satu penyebab kematian terbesar terjadi pada bayi prematur yang rentan terhadap suhu tubuh terlalu rendah atau biasa disebut dengan hipotermi. Penggunaan inkubator bayi merupakan upaya dalam mengurangi jumlah kematian akibat gejala hipotermi pada bayi yang masih dalam awal kelahiran atau neonatal. Namun faktanya masih banyak di daerah-daerah belum terdapat alat inkubator bayi tersebut, padahal pada awal kelahiran, inkubator bayi berperan penting dalam kelangsungan kesehatan bayi.
Pada perancangan inkubator, diharapkan akan memberikan solusi pada beberapa daerah yang belum terdapat inkubator bayi. Harga inkubator bayi terpaut cukup jauh antara produk inkubator bayi NICU (Neonatal Intensive-Care Unit) yang mencapai puluhan hingga ratusan juta kemudian dengan produk inkubator bayi standar berharga 3 juta. Disisi lain inkubator bayi standar tersebut belum terdapat sistem pengendalian suhu dan kelembapan maupun sistem keamanan dan pecegahan keadaan darurat. Tema yang diambil untuk perancangan desain ini adalah menciptakan produk inkubator bayi dengan harga yang terjangkau sebagai fasilitas agar bayi mendapatkan perawatan khusus.
Proses desain dilakukan dengan pengambilan data. Metode yang dilakukan shadowing dan proses interview. Hasil pengambilan data kemudian diolah sehingga dapat menyediakan inkubator bayi bagi rumah sakit, puskesmas dan klinik di daerah.
Hasil dari desain inkubator bayi ini mampu menciptakan lingkungan aman dalam inkubator bayi dengan harga terjangkau. Inkubator bayi ini juga disertai dengan sistem kontrol pengaturan suhu dan kelembapan serta sistem keamanan sensor alarm. Dengan demikian inkubator bayi dapat dipasarkan serta lebih optimal untuk rumah sakit, puskesmas maupun klinik.

In this growing era, Indonesia need special facilities, especially for the baby's needs. From year to year there are infant mortality rate that is at least in 2012 they reached a total of 1283 people. One of the biggest causes of death happens on premature babies who are very vulnerable to the body temperature that is too low or commonly referred to as hipotermi. The use of baby incubator is an effort to reduce the number of deaths from hipotermi symptoms in babies who are still in the early birth or neonatal. But in fact, a lot of rural areas still do not have the baby incubator devices, whereas at the beginning of the birth, the baby incubator plays an important role in the continuity of the health of babies.
In the design of incubators, is expected to provide solutions to some of the areas that have not had baby incubator. Price of baby incubator adrift far enough between baby incubator NICU (Neonatal Intensive-Care Unit) in the tens to hundreds of millions with standard baby incubator worth 3 million. On the other hand standard baby incubator have not had the temperature and humidity control systems nor security systems and emergency prevention. The theme that taken for the designing is to create a product of babies incubator at an affordable price as a facility for the baby to get special treatment.
The design process is done by taking data. The methods are shadowing and interview process. The results data is then being processed so that it can provide baby incubator for hospitals, health centers, and clinics in the rural area.
The design results of this baby incubator is able to create a safe environment in the babies incubator at an affordable price. This baby incubator is also equipped by a temperature regulation system and humidity control as well as system security alarm sensor. Thus this baby incubator can be marketed as well as more optimal for hospitals, health centers, and clinics.
