Abstract

PT. Pacific Angkasa Abadi adalah produsen pipa besi yang bertempat di Gresik. Pada dunia industri seperti saat ini, persaingan semakin ketat. Hal seperti kualitas produk menjadi perhatian utama konsumen. Oleh karena itu PT. Pacific Angkasa Abadi terus melakukan upaya-upaya untuk mengendalikan kualitas produknya. Beberapa cara dapat dilakukan, salah satunya dengan menggunakan grafik kendali. Grafik kendali yang umum dipakai adalah grafik kendali Shewhart, tetapi grafik kendali tersebut kurang sensitif pada pergeseran kecil sehingga muncul grafik kendali lain yang menjadi alternatif seperti CUSUM dan EWMA. Tugas akhir ini membandingkan grafik kendali CUSUM dan EWMA pada proses produksi pipa hitam 50×50. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa proses produksi pipa hitam 50×50 belum terkendali secara statistik. Grafik kendali EWMA memberikan performa yang lebih baik karena dapat mendeteksi 6 plot yang out of control. ============================================================================================ PT. Pacific Angkasa Abadi is a steel pipe factory that placed in Gresik. In the industrial world nowadays, the competition becomes more intense. Therefore PT. Pacific Angkasa Abadi always make efforts in controlling their product’s quality. There is several ways that can be done, one of them is by using control chart. Control chart that commonly used is Shewhart control chart, however this chart is not sensitive enough in small shift, so there is another chart that used for alternative such as CUSUM and EWMA. This final project compares CUSUM and EWMA control chart for 50×50 black steel pipe production. From the analysis’s result, show that the steel pipe production is not controlled by statistic. The EWMA control chart provide a better performance because is it detected 6 out of control plot.
