Abstract
Economic Dispatch (ED) merupakan salah satu alat manajemen sistem
tenaga listrik yang digunakan untuk mengalokasikan kebutuhan
pembangkitan tenaga listrik terhadap sejumlah unit pembangkit untuk
memenuhi permintaan beban aktif. Dengan penerapan ED maka akan
didapatkan biaya pembangkitan yang minimum terhadap produksi daya
listrik yang dibangkitkan unit-unit pembangkit pada suatu sistem
kelistrikan. Permasalahan ED pada pembangkit saat ini yaitu mengenai
perubahan permintaan daya. Perubahan beban yang berubah setiap
periode waktu tertentu menyebabkan perubahan perhitungan ED untuk
setiap harga tertentu. Dari permasalahan tersebut, maka digunakan
dynamic formulation technique untuk mengoptimalkan pengalokasian
perubahan permintaan beban pada masing-masing unit pembangkitan
serta meminimalkan biaya pembangkitan. Perhitungan ED menggunakan
dynamic formulation technique dibandingkan dengan metode base point
and participation factor. Tugas akhir ini mengembangkan program untuk
melakukan perhitungan ED menggunakan metode dynamic formulation
technique dan base point and participation factor. Dalam proses
pengembangan program, digunakan software Delphi 7. Program yang
telah dikembangkan di uji validitasnya sebelum digunakan untuk
memecahkan studi kasus berdasarkan paper referensi. Dari hasil simulasi
program, secara umum diperoleh hasil kombinasi biaya yang lebih murah
dengan menggunakan dynamic formulation technique dibandingkan
dengan base point and participation factor.

Economic dispatch (ED) is one of the power system energy management
tools that is used to allocate required power generation to a number of
generating units to meet the active load demand. The ED’s
implementation can use to minimizing the generating cost of the
generating units in power system. ED problems is about changes in the
load demand. Change in the load at any specific time period causes
changes in the calculation of ED for any specific price. Of these problems
then the dynamic formulation technique used to optimally allocate the
change in the total active load demand to the generating units. ED
calculations using dynamic formulation technique instead of the base
point and participation factor. This final project is about the developing
of software to do ED calculation using dynamic formulation technique
and base point and participation factor. The software developed using
Delphi 7. After the program was built, firstly, it must be validated by
validation test. The program need to be valid before processing study case
that based on paper reference. ED’s calculation using dynamic
formulation technique achieve lower fuel generation cost compared with
base point and participation method.
