Abstract
Multivariat merupakan objek kajian pada statistika yang
mempelajari perilaku dan hubungan antara dua atau lebih variabel.
PT. Adiprima Suraprinta bergerak di bidang layanan jasa percetakan
kertas, termasuk koran. Disamping melayani pelanggan, PT
Adiprima Suraprinta juga telah dipercaya pelanggan untuk
mencetak produknya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk
menganalisis kualitas produk kertas jenis News Print Paper (NPP)
PRIMA 45 & 48.8 Yellowish dengan menggunakan metode grafik
pengendali Multivariat Generalized Variance dan Hotelling T2 serta
menghitung Indeks Kemampuan Proses pada mesin produksi koran.
Data yang digunakan yaitu data dari karakteristik fisik kertas yaitu
basis weight, thickness, moisture dan tensile strenght. Hasil
produksi kertas PRIMA 45 dan 48.8 Yellowish tidak terjadi
perbedaan kualitas karena dari peta Generalized Variance dan
Hotelling T2 masih ada beberapa pengamatan yang masih Out of
Control. Diketahui bahwa kapabilitas proses produksi kertas 45 dan
48.8 telah capable.

Multivariate statistics is the object of study in which studies the
behavior and the relationship between two or more variables. PT.
Adiprima Suraprinta have been engaged in paper printing services,
including newspapers. Not only serving customers in PT Adiprima
Suraprinta, but also trusted customers to print products. This study
conducted to analyze the quality of products of paper types News
Print Paper (NPP) PRIMA 45 & 48 Yellowish using Hotelling T2
control chart and the Multivariate Process Capability Index
calculates the paper product machine. The data used are the data of
the physical characteristics of the paper that is the basis weight,
thickness, moisture and tensile strenght. The production of paper
PRIMA 45 and 48.8 Yellowish not occur due to differences in the
quality of the map Generalized Variance and Hotelling T2 there are
still some observations still Out of Control. It is known that the
paper production process capability 45 and 48.8 have been capable.
