Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk mendeteksi bahaya pada unit sulfur handling pabrik III PT. Petrokimia Gresik dimana pada sulfur handling terjadi proses pencairan sulfur padat. Sulfur cair memiliki bahaya seperti mudah terbakar dan dapat beracun, oleh karena itu diperlukan adanya analisis bahaya. Analisis bahaya dalam penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan analisis HAZOP. Node yang dipakai adalah melter dan storage tank yang merupakan komponen utama penyusun sulfur handling. Guide word dan deviasi ditentukan berdasarkan control chart yang dibentuk oleh data proses masing-masing komponen selama bulan November 2014. Estimasi likelihood dilakukan berdasarkan data maintenance PT. Petrokimia Gresik selama 5 tahun, sedangkan estimasi consequences dilakukan secara kualitatif berdasarkan kriteria risiko yang ditimbulkan. Hasil perkalian likelihood dan consequences dengan risk matrix menghasilkan kriteria risiko dari komponen. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, diperoleh hasil bahwa komponen yang memiliki risiko bahaya paling besar adalah temperature indicator storage tank dengan risiko bernilai extreme pada deviasi high temperature dengan kategori consequences yang menyebabkan kebakaran dan berakibat pada penurunan rate dan kualitas produksi kemudian kriteria likelihood bernilai 3 dimana kegagalan dapat terjadi lebih dari tiga kali dalam kurun waktu lima tahun. Untuk menurunkan risiko, maka dilakukan perawatan dan kalibrasi secara rutin, serta penambahan safeguard. ============================================================================================ This study has been done to detect hazard from sulphur handling unit where its function is to melt solid sulfur. Liquid sulfur has hazards such as flammable and can be toxic, therefore it is necessary to analyze the hazard. Hazard analysis in this study was conducted using HAZOP analysis. Nodes used in this study are melter and storage tanks which is the main component constituent for sulfur handling. Guideword and deviation is determined based on the control chart which is formed by the data of the respective components during November 2014. The estimated likelihood be based on data maintenance PT. Petrokimia Gresik for 5 years, while the estimated Consequences conducted qualitatively based on the criteria of the risk posed. The result of multiplying the likelihood and Consequences with risk matrix generating risk criteria of the component. Based on the analysis, the result that the component that has greatest hazard is storage tank temperature indicator with extreme-value risk with high temperature deviation, consequences criteria that can lead to fire, and likelihood criteria C where the equipment failure may occur more than three times within a period of five years. To lower the risk, it is necessary to maintenance and calibration of the instrument on a regular basis, as well as adding additional safeguards.
