Abstract
Pulau Mengare merupakan salah satu daerah di kabupaten
Gresik. Pulau Mengare ini merupakan penghasil perikanan
terbesar di daerah kabupaten Gresik. Masyarakat penduduk
pulau Mengare mata pencahariannya sebagai nelayan. Untuk
mendistribusikan hasil mata pencaharian mereka digunakan truktruk.
Oleh karena itu para nelayan membutuhkan sarana
infrastruktur jalan akses yang baik menuju pasar-pasar besar di
pusat kota.
Jalan akses menuju pulau Mengare saat ini kurang baik karena
jalan yang sempit hanya 2,8 m, banyak tikungan tajam dan
kepemilikan tanah masih hak milik perorangan. Kondisinya
masih menggunakan paving block sejauh kurang lebih 12 km
yang sudah hancur terkelupas.
Jika akan dilakukan perbaikan jalan dengan menggunakan alat
berat akan menambah semakin rusaknya jalan satu-satunya ke
pulau Mengare. Jalan akses baru direncanakan melalui desa
Sungonlegowo agar pengembangan daerah dapat dilakukan
seluas mungkin dan tidak menambah kerusakan di jalan yang
lama. jalan yang lama sudah menjadi daerah peti kemas
Pelabuhan Manyar sehingga banyak pemilik tanah menjual
tanahnya ke pelabuhan. Diharapkan dengan direncanakan jalan
akses baru yang ditinjau dari segi geometri dan perkerasan
jalannya dapat membantu perkembangan perekonomian dan
pendidikan masyarakat daerah itu.

Mengare Island is one of many regions in Gresik. Mengare island
is the largest supplier of fishery products in Gresik regency. Most
of the Mengare people work as fishermen. To distribute the
results of their livelihood used trucks. Therefore, the fishermen
need a good access of road infrastructure of markets in the
downtown.
The access road to the Mengare Island is currently not really
good because of the narrow road, which is only 2.8 m, a lot of
sharp turns and land ownership still belongs to private property.
The condition of the road itself uses a paving block about 12 km
that was already ruined chipped.
If the road will be repaired by using heavy equipment, the only
road to the island Mengare will be getting more damage. New
access of the planned road is through the Sungonlegowo village
so the regional development can be carried out as widely as
possible and do not give the more damage to the old road,
because the old road has already belonged to a territory of Port
Manyar container, so that many landowners sold their land to the
port. The planning of new access roads by using in terms of
geometry and pavement is expected to help the economic
development and public education in that area.
