Abstract

Senyawa 2,2,3,5,5-pentametil-1-pentanol (1) telah berhasil diisolasi dari ekstrak metanol ranting Garcinia balica asal Taman Nasional Baluran, Situbondo, Jawa Timur berbentuk pasta oil tak berwarna dengan titik leleh 67oC - 68oC. Metode isolasi menggunakan Kromatografi Cair Vacum (KCV) dielusi dengan pelarut yang ditingkatkan kepolarannya dan Kromatografi Lapis Tipis Preparatif (KLTP). Penentuan struktur menggunakan hasil teknik NMR-1D dan NMR 2-D serta spektrofotometer IR. Aktivitas antioksidan ditentukan menggunakan metode uji DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl). Senyawa 1 menunjukkan mL tidak aktif terhadap pengujian DPPH sedangkan Fraksi C menunjukkan penghambatan dengan nilai IC50 86,50 μg/m namun aktivitas penghambatan masih dibawah trolox sebagai kontrol positif =============================================================================================== 2,2,3,5,5-pentametil-1-pentanol (1) was isolated from crude methanol extract of the branch of Garcinia balica from Baluran National Park, Situbondo, Jawa Timur as colourless pasta oil with melting point 67oC - 68oC. Isolation method used vacuum liquid chromathography eluted with increasing polarity solvent and preparative thin later chromatography. Its structure was elucidated using 1D and 2D NMR techniques along with IR spectrophotometry. The antioxidant activity was determined using DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) method. Compound 1 menunjukkan showed negative antioxidant activity. Fraction of C showed inhibition on DPPH with IC50 value 86,50 μg/m but inhibition activity is lower than trolox as a positive control.
