Abstract
Pengaruh Na2O dalam sintesis ZSM-5 telah dipelajari
dalam penelitian ini. Sintesis ZSM-5 secara langsung dari kaolin
Bangka dan abu sekam padi dilakukan dengan variasi rasio molar
Na2O/SiO2 serta variasi waktu kristalisasi (3, 6, 9, 12, dan 24
jam). Dalam penelitian ini, ZSM-5 disintesis dengan komposisi
molar 4-10Na2O : 100SiO2 : 2Al2O3 : 1800H2O : 20TPAOH
menggunakan metode hidrotermal pada suhu 175°C. Hasil
padatan dianalisis menggunakan teknik difraksi sinar-X (XRD)
dan spektroskopi Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) yang
menunjukkan bahwa ZSM-5 pada rasio molar Na2O/SiO2 0,04
terbentuk pada waktu kristalisasi 6, 9, 12, dan 24 jam. Pada rasio
molar Na2O/SiO2 0,07 terbentuk ZSM-5 pada waktu kristalisasi
24 jam. Sementara itu, pada rasio molar Na2O/SiO2 0,1 dengan
waktu kristalisasi 24 jam ZSM-5 masih berada pada tahap awal
pembentukan. Kristalinitas yang paling tinggi didapatkan pada
rasio molar Na2O/SiO2 sebesar 0,04 dengan waktu induksi yang
pendek.

The effect of Na2O in synthesis of ZSM-5 has been studied
in this research. Synthesis of ZSM-5 directly from kaolin Bangka
and rice husk ash were done with variation of Na2O/SiO2 molar
ratio and crystallization time variation (3, 6, 9, 12, and 24 hours).
In this research, ZSM-5 synthesized with molar composition 4-
10Na2O : 100SiO2 : 2Al2O3 : 1800H2O : 20TPAOH using
hydrothermal method at 175 °C. The solid result was analyzed
using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier Transform Infrared
spectroscopy (FTIR) showed that ZSM-5 on Na2O/SiO2 0.04
molar ratio formed at the time 6, 9, 12, and 24 hours of
crystalization. On Na2O/SiO2 0.07 molar ratio formed ZSM-5 at
the time 24 hours of crystallization. Meanwhile on Na2O/SiO2 0.1
molar ratio at the time 24 hours of crystallization, ZSM-5 still in
the early stages of formation. The highest crystalinity was
obtained on Na2O/SiO2 0.04 molar ratio with a short induction
time.
