Abstract

Jambu biji (Psidium guajava) merupakan buah yang enak dan dapat dikonsumsi dalam keadaan segar maupun dalam bentuk olahan. Buah Jambu biji mempunyai nilai gizi yang cukup baik terutama sebagai sumber vitamin C. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi penyemprotan GA3 dalam membantu mengurangi kerontokan buah jambu biji (Psidium guajava) varietas Sukun Merah. Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 12 tanaman, setiap tanaman dipilih 10 bakal buah dan konsentrasi penyemprotan hormon GA3 dengan berbagai konsentrasi 0 ppm (kontrol), 30 ppm , 60 ppm, dan 90 ppm. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah RAL dan masing-masing perlakuan diulang 3 x. Paramater yang diamati adalah persentase buah retensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian GA3 dengan konsentrasi 90 ppm (pengamatan pada hari ke 28) menunjukkan persentase buah retensi paling tinggi yaitu rata-rata sebesar 70% dan persentase buah retensi terendah pada pemberian GA3 dengan konsentrasi 0 ppm yaitu rata-rata sebesar 16,7%. Pada analisa Uji Lanjut Duncan menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan 30 ppm dan 60 ppm tidak berbeda nyata , akan tetapi berbeda nyata dengan 90 ppm. =============================================================================================== Guava ( Psidium guajava ) is a delicious fruit and can be consumed in the fresh state or in processed form. Guava fruit has a pretty good nutritional value , especially as a source of vitamin C. This study aims to determine the concentration of GA3 spraying in helping to reduce the fall out of Sukun Merah variety guava fruit ( Psidium guajava ). Samples taken as many as 12 plants, each plant selected 10 fruit guava and the concentration of the hormone spraying GA3 with various concentrations of 0 ppm ( control ), 30 ppm, 60 ppm, and 90 ppm.The research desaign used is RAL and each treatment was repeated 3 times. Parameters measured were the percentage of fruit retention. The results showed that administration with a concentration of 90 ppm GA3 ( observation at day 28 ) showed the highest percentage of fruit retention which is an average of 70 % and the lowest percentage of fruit retention on GA3 at concentrations of 0 ppm with an average of 16.7 %. In further analysis Duncan Test showed that the 30 ppm and 60 ppm were not significantly different. However, signicantly different from the 90 ppm.
