Abstract
Pada pembangkit listrik tenaga uap (PLTU), air pendingin memiliki peranan
yang sangat penting dalam proses pendinginan kondensor. Air pendingin yang
telah digunakan akan dibuang ke laut melalui saluran outlet pada PLTU tersebut.
Salah satu PLTU tersebut adalah PT. Pembangkitan Jawa-Bali Unit Pembangkitan
Gresik (PT. PJB UP Gresik). Air pendingin yang dibuang ke laut tersebut
mengalami penyebaran panas dan mempunyai kemungkinan untuk digunakan
kembali untuk pendingin selanjutnya melalui saluran intake. Oleh karena itu,
perlu dilakukan analisa penyebaran panas air pendingin untuk wilayah yang
menjadi lokasi pembuangan air tersebut. Dalam hal ini pola penyebaran panas air
pendingin ini akan domodelkan menggunakan software MIKE. Dari hasil
pemodelan diperoleh temperatur pada kanal outlet bervariasi antara 35,2-36,80C,
pada kanal intake temperatur bervariasi antara 27,57-27,760C sedangkan pada
kolam tenang temperatur bervariasi antara 27,54-27,770C. Pola arus yang
bergerak menuju mulut outlet menyebabkan air pendingin dari outlet menyebar
hanya di sekitar mulut outfall sehingga sirkulasi air pendingin yang dikeluarkan
tidak masuk kembali ke kanal intake.

In the steam power plant (power plant), water cooling has a very important role in
the process of cooling the condenser. Cooling water that has been used will be
discharged into the sea through the outlet channel at the power plant. One such
plant is PT. Generation of Java-Bali Power Unit Gresik (PT. PJB UP Gresik).
Cooling water discharged into the sea to experience the spread of heat and have
the possibility to reuse for subsequent cooling through the intake tract. Therefore,
it is necessary to analyze the spread of water-cooled heat to the territory of the
water disposal site. In this case the cooling water heat distribution patterns will
domodelkan using software modeling MIKE. From the results obtained in the
temperature varies between 35,2-36,80C outlet canal, the canal intake temperature
varies between 27,57-27,760C while at the quiet pool temperature varies between
27,54-27,770C. Current patterns moving towards the mouth causing the cooling
water outlet of outlets spread just around the mouth so that the circulation of
cooling water outfall issued not get back into the intake canal.
