Abstract

Di jawa timur banyak peternak sapi khususnya didaerah dataran tinggi, tentu akan diperlukan pakan ternak yang baik misalnya tebon jagung yang dirajang. Untuk perajang tebon jagung tersebut maka diperlukan mesin pencacah tebon jagung. Oleh karena itu pada tugas akhir ini akan dilakukan pembuatan mesin pencacah tebon jagung melalui perhitungan elemen-elemen mesin, khususnya perencanaan sistem transmisinya. Langkah – langkah yang dilakukan untuk tujuan tersebut adalah: observasi alat pencacah, studi literature, pengambilan data, desain alat, pengadaan alat, perakitan alat dan kemudian pengujian alat. Sehingga dapat mengetahui kapasitas mesin tersebut. Hasil perhitungan dan pembahasan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa belt yang dipilih adalah V-Belt jenis A dengan umur belt 989.266,78 jam, panjang belt 2210 mm dan diameter pulley driver 95 mm untuk pulley driven 552 mm dengan bahan besi. Untuk diameter-dalam bearing/bantalan yang dipakai 25mm ( ball bearing-single row deep grove type P 205) dengan umur bearing 19.602,76 jam kerja. Kapasitas yang diperoleh hasil percobaan sebesar 210 kg/jam . =============================================================================================== In eastern Java many cattle ranchers particularly in the area of high plateau, it will be required good fodder for example chopped rod corn. For rod corn chopper, so it needed a thrasther rod corn. Therefore in this final project will be making rod corn thrasher by calculating machine elements, in particular the transmission system planning. Steps – steps taken for this purpose are : observation count tool, literature studies, data collection, tool design, procurement of equipment, assembly tools and then testing tool. So as to determine the capacity of the machine. Calculation result and discussion we concluded that the belt is selected V – Belt type A with age 989.266,78 hours belt, belt length 2210 mm and diameter of 95 mm driver pulley to pulley driven 552 mm with iron material. For the inside diameter of the bearing / bearing used 25mm ( ball bearings single row deep – grove type P 205 ) with bearing age 19.602,76 hours. Capasity obtained experimental result of 210 kg/hour.
