Abstract
Daerah Irigasi Parit Lompaten terletak di Kabupaten Karo Sumatera Utara dengan luas baku sawah 1265 Ha. Jenis tanaman yang ada di daerah irigasi tersebut terdiri dari padi dan palawija dengan pola tanam padi-palawija-padi. Akibat perubahan iklim yang kian memburuk menyebabkan penurunan ketersediaan air yang mempengaruhi proses pertumbuhan tanaman di daerah irigasi. Jika permasalahan ini dibiarkan lambat laun lahan persawahan tidak dapat lagi dimanfaatkan. Masyarakat terkhususnya petani tentu mengalami kerugian yang sangat besar.
Dengan keterbatasan air yang tersedia, maka diperlukan optimasi dalam meningkatkan hasil pertanian, optimasi yang dapat dilakukan adalah mengoptimalkan pola tanam yang tepat. Metode yang digunakan dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan ini menggunakan Linear Programming. Debit andalan dan kebutuhan air pada tiap pola tanam dijadikan sebagai batasan dalam pengoperasian Linear Programming.
Dengan adanya optimasi ini diharapkan dapat membantu meninjau ulang seberapa optimal luas lahan pertanaman yang dibutuhkan dalam mengelola jenis tanaman yang ada di daerah irigasi berdasarkan air yang tersedia. Sehingga dapat memaksimalkan keuntungan hasil usaha tani.
Berdasarkan hasil optimasi yang telah dilakukan, maka diperoleh pola tanam Daerah Irigasi Parit Lompaten adalah padi-palawija-palawija dengan musim hujan ditanami oleh padi, musim kemarau I ditanami oleh palawija dan musim kemarau II ditanami oleh palawija. Sehingga Keuntungan hasil usaha tani yang diperoleh sebesar Rp. 18,225,620,000.
========================================================================================================================Parit Lompaten Irrigation Area is located in Karo Regency of North Sumatra with a region of 1265 Ha. The types of plants in the irrigated area consists of rice and crops/maize with rice-crops/maize-rice cultivation pattern. Due to worsening climate change, decreasing water availability is affecting the process of plant growth in irrigated areas. If this problem remains unsolved, it's expected that the rice field can no longer be utilized and there will be lots of people suffering huge losses.
With limited water available, optimization is needed to improve the agricultural output. The Optimization that can be done is through optimizing the right cropping pattern. The method used in solving this problem is by using Linear Programming. The mainstay debit and water requirements of each planting pattern are used as limits in Linear Programming operations.
With this optimization, it is expected to help the review on how optimal the area of cultivation land needed in managing the existing types of plants in irrigation areas based on the available water. So as to maximize profits from farming.
Based on the results of the optimization that has been done, the pattern of cropping pattern of Parit Lompaten Irrigation Area is rice-crops/maize-crops/maize with rainy season planted by rice, my dry season is cultivated by crops/maize and dry season II is planted by crops/maize. What is the profit of farming result obtained is Rp. 18,225,620,000.
