Abstract

================================================================================================
Batik, as Indonesia's cultural heritage, has two types of original batik namely Batik Tulis and Batik Cap. Both are made with human power and have meaning in every motive. However, it is still difficult to distinguish batik cloth and non-writing. Many fabrics are scattered in a society that is claimed to be batik when it is not. The purpose of this research is to get the texture statistic feature from batik image to know the type of batik, stamp and printing by using Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) and Artificial Neural Network Learning Vector Quantization (LVQ) as a method to classify the type Batik and non-writing. Data collection is done by taking the image of batik cloth. The image of the fabric is processed through image processing to further extraction of statistical features by GLCM method. The features used in this research are ASM (Angular Second Moment), IDM (Inverse Different Moment), Entropy and Correlation. For ASM (Angular Second Moment) and IDM (Inverse Different Moment) feature grade batik class has the highest mean value. The value of entropy on batik is lower than the other two classes. For the value of kolerasi on batik class is lower than the textile class of batik motif (printing) and higher than the class of batik cap. From the results of testing in this study, the best parameters LVQ namely: by using 1000 epoch, learning rate 0.3 and 600 hidden neurons. The identification stage of 600 samples of batik and non-writing image by applying LVQ classification method is done by 2 stages, first phase of data training is 70% from the amount of data sample, both stages of testing done at 30%. For LVQ prediction rate reached the average accuracy of data without normalization of 90.43% and data with normalization of 98.40%. While on the test data or data testing the average value of accuracy on the dataset without normalization of 92.79% after normalization of the data the average value of accuracy increased to 98.98%, so the increase in the average value of accuracy of 8%.
