Abstract

Penentuan strategi ataupun kebijakan dalam mensukseskan pengimplementasian e-learning tidak bisa lepas dari pengaruh tinggi rendahnya tingkat kesiapan lingkungan pendidikan terhadap e-learning yang diterapkan, terutama seberapa tinggi tingkat kesiapan mahasiswa sebagai pengguna utama e-learning di perguruan tinggi, khususnya di ITS. Rendahnya tingkat kesiapan yang dimiliki mahasiswa untuk mengimplementasikan e-learning, dapat mengakibatkan kurang tercapainya manfaat yang diperoleh, atau bahkan mengakibatkan kegagalan dalam mengimplementasikannya. Kegagalan tersebut berakibat pada pembengkakan dana implementasi e-learning. Sehingga, sangat penting bagi ITS untuk menilai seberapa tinggi tingkat kesiapan mahasiswa dalam mengimplementasikan e-learning. Untuk itu, diperlukan model yang tepat untuk menilai tingkat kesiapan mahasiswa dalam mengimplementasikan e-learning. Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan pengukuran tingkat kesiapan mahasiswa dengan menggunakan model Akaslan dan Law. Data tingkat kesiapan diperoleh melalui kuesioner yang diisi oleh sebagian mahasiswa ITS berdasarkan faktor technology, people, content, institution, acceptance for e-learning, dan training for e-learning. Dengan kuesioner terdiri pertanyaan binary dan 5 skala likert, survey dilakukan di beberapa jurusan ITS yang telah menerapkan e-learning. Berdasarkan hasil yang didapat dari survey, akan dinilai berdasarkan model penilaian Aydin dan Tasci untuk menentukan apakah responden siap atau tidak untuk menerapkan e-learning. Dengan menilai tingkat kesiapan mahasiswa dalam mengimplementasikan e-learning melalui tugas akhir ini, disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Akaslan dan Law dapat digunakan untuk menentukan variabel yang berkaitan dengan kombinasi model Aydin dan Tasci untuk mengukur tingkat kesiapan mahasiswa terhadap e-learning. Hasil dari studi kasus, kebanyakan mahasiswa ITS telah siap menerapkan e-learning. ================================================================== The determination of strategy or policy to build the success of e-learning implementation cannot be separated from influence of the high-lowreadiness education level toward appliede-learning, especially how level of studentsreadiness as the main role in the university, in particular ITS. The low level of students readiness to implement e-learning can affect not achieving the benefits or even lead to failure in the implemention. The failurescause swelling funds during e-learning implementation. Thus, it is very important for ITS to assess how high the level of students readiness in implementing e-learning. Therefore, we need an appropriate model to assess the level of students readiness in implementing e-learning. In this study, we measured the students readiness by using Akaslan and LawModel. The data was obtained from questionnaires filled by some of ITS students based on factor of technology, people, content, institution, acceptance for e-learning, and training for e-learning. With the questionnaire consisting of binary and five-scales likert, the survey was conducted in several departments of ITS who have implemented e-learning. Based on the survey,we assessedit using Aydin and Tasci Model to determine the students to implement e-learning. By doing this research, we conclude that Akaslan and Law Model can be used as the model to determine related variables that combining with Aydin and Tasci Model to measure the students readiness of implementing e-learning. Based on the case, the most of ITS students are ready to implement e-learning.
