Abstract
Sejak peresmian Jembatan Suramadu, Kabupaten Bangkalan menjadi gerbang utama Pulau Madura serta menjadi salah satu destinasi wisata pilihan di Jawa Timur. Pada tahun 2009, pemerintah Kabupaten Bangkalan telah menetapkan visi pengembangan yang dituangkan dalam rencana tata ruang wilayah Kabupaten Bangkalan tahun 2009-2029, dimana visi tersebut adalah ”penataan ruang Kabupaten Bangkalan dijadikan sebagai pintu gerbang Madura menuju kota industri, pariwisata dan jasa”. Meskipun telah dicanangkan visi untuk memperkuat sektor pariwisata, perhatian pemerintah Kabupaten Bangkalan terhadap obyek pariwisata yang ada di wilayahnya masih sangat minim. Terbukti pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai obyek pariwisata yang ada di kabupaten Bangkalan masih sangat terbatas.
Dalam upaya memperkenalkan obyek pariwisata yang ada di Kabupaten Bangkalan, salah satunya dengan penyediaan suatu sistem informasi berbasis keruangan (spasial). Sistem Informasi Geografis berbasis web (WebSIG) dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media penyebaran informasi mengenai kepariwisataan bagi wisatawan di dalam maupun di luar kabupaten Bangkalan. Pada penelitian ini WebSIG yang telah dibuat dapat di akses secara online pada alamat URL www.wisata-bangkalan.com. WebSIG ini memiliki fitur-fitur yang dapat memudahkan wisatawan dalam mencari informasi mengenai obyek wisata di Kabupaten Bangkalan, seperti fitur peta persebaran obyek wisata yang dilengkapi dengan informasi fasilitas umum sebagai informasi tambahan, fitur detail dan lokasi obyek wisata dan fitur pencarian rute menuju lokasi obyek wisata. WebSIG ini dapat digunakan sebagai petunjuk perjalanan wisata dan dapat juga dijadikan pertimbangan dalam pengambilan keputusan bagi pemerintah kabupaten setempat sehingga proses pengembangan dan pelestarian obyek wisata dapat lebih mudah dilakukan.

Since the inauguration of Suramadu Bridge, Bangkalan Regency has became the main gate of Madura Island and became one of the preferred tourist destinations in East Java. In 2009, the Bangkalan Regency Government has established a development vision as outlined in the spatial plan of Bangkalan Regency 2009-2029, where the vision is "spatial planning of Bangkalan Regency as the gateway of Madura to industrial city, tourism and services". Although the vision has been proclaimed to strengthen the tourism sector, the attention of Bangkalan Regency Government to the tourism objects in its territory is still very minimal. Proven public knowledge about tourism objects in Bangkalan Regency is still very limited.
In an effort to introduce tourism object in Bangkalan Regency, one of them is by providing spatial based information system. Web-based Geographic Information System (WebGIS) can be used as a medium for disseminating tourism information for tourists inside and outside Bangkalan Regency. In this study WebSIG that has been made can be accessed online at URL address www.wisata-bangkalan.com. This WebGIS has features that can facilitate tourists in searching for information about tourism in Bangkalan Regency, such as map dispersion features of tourism object which equipped with the information of public facilities as additional information, detail and location features of tourism object and route search features to the location of the object. This WebGIS can be used as a travel guide and can also be taken into consideration in decision making for the local district government so that the process of developing and preserving the tourism object can be more easily done.
