Abstract
Kegunaan distribusi pada sistem tenaga listrik adalah untuk mendistribusikan energi listrik ke berbagai titik beban. Dalam sistem kelistrikan hal yang tidak dapat dihindari secara total adanya gangguan dan kegagalan sistem yang dapat merugikan produksi perusahaan. Hal inilah bahwa sistem proteksi harus dikoordinasikan agar rele-rele dapat bekerja untuk mendeteksi adanya gangguan. PT Medco E&P lapangan singa di Blok Lematang disuplai oleh PLTG 3x3,6 MW yang selalu dioperasikan dalam kondisi normal. Sejak pengoperasian Singa Gas Field belum pernah adanya koordinasi proteksi sehingga belum terjaminya sistem. Untuk terjaminya sistem kelistrikan, harus dilakukan suatu studi koordinasi proteksi pada PT Medco E&P lapangan singa di Blok Lematang. Pada tugas akhir ini membahas studi koordinasi proteksi untuk mengetahui setting rele pengaman arus lebih dan rele pengaman gangguan ke tanah. Dari hasil analisa kondisi eksisting, adanya kesalahan menentukan nilai setting time dial dan time delay. Sehingga diperlukan analisis hubung singkat untuk mendapatkan nilai setting time dial yang tepat. Waktu kerja antara rele utama dan rele back-up dikoordinasikan sesuai standard IEEE 242 dengan grading time 0,2 – 0,4 s. Dari hasil evaluasi koordinasi proteksi dapat melindungi dari gangguan berupa arus beban lebih dan arus hubung singkat.

In electrical systems that failure systems can’t avoid, it can impair device and affected of company’s productions. That’s why protection systems are necessary, coordination protection in order to relay detect any interferences short circuit. Currently, PT Medco E&P Singa Gas Field Lematang Block was supplied by gas power plant 3x3,6 MW which always operated in normal conditions. Since it was operated, PT Medco E&P Singa Gas Field Lematang Block has never been studied about protection coordination, so that the system has not been established yet. To ensure systems protection is working , should be implemented of protection coordination study in PT Medco E&P Singa Gas Field Lematang Block. In this final project discussing the protection coordination studies to determine setting overcurrent relay and ground fault relay. From the results analysis on existing condition, it has error in determine setting time dial and time delay. Analysis short circuit is necessary to get the value of time dial setting. Time delay between main relay and back-up relay are coordinated based on standard IEEE 242 with grading time 0,2-0,4 s. From the evaluation result the protection coordination can protect from the fault of overload current and short circuit current.
