Abstract
Sistem komunikasi High Frequency (HF) pada frekuensi 3-30 MHz memanfaatkan ionosfer sebagai lintasan propagasi gelombang radio. Sistem komunikasi HF ini biasanya dipergunakan dalam bidang militer dan sipil karena penggunaannya yang mudah dan relatif murah. Dalam implementasinya terdapat daerah yang tidak dapat menerima sinyal biasa disebut dengan skip zone yang diakibatkan oleh gelombang pantul (reflected wave). Salah satu cara untuk menghilangkan daerah skip zone ialah dengan mengimplementasikan sistem komunikasi HF menggunakan NVIS (Near Vertical Incidence Sykwave). Selain itu untuk meningkatkan ketersediaan kanal yang terbatas pada sistem komunikasi HF maka diimplementasikan juga antena MIMO 2x2 dengan memasang 2 buah antena yang dipasang orthogonal pada masing-masing pemancar dan penerima. Pemodelan kanal MIMO HF NVIS membutuhkan parameter respons kanal. Oleh karena itu, pada tugas akhir ini penulis melakukan perancangan desain sistem pengukuran untuk mendapatkan respons kanal sebagai dasar pemodelan kanal HF MIMO NVIS. Dengan daya pancar 20 Watt telah berhasil menguji ketersediaan link Surabaya−Malang. Dari hasil pengukuran sistem MIMO 2×2 tersebut menghasilkan 4 buah respons kanal yang diolah menggunakan product detector dan LPF dengan teknik Window Hamming.

High Frequency (HF) communications system at 3-30 MHz frequency utilizes ionosphere as a radio wave propagation path. HF communications system is usually used in military and civilian fields because of its easy and relatively inexpensive used. In the implementation, there are areas that can not receive the signal called skip zone caused by reflected wave. One way to eliminate skip zone area is to implement HF communications system using NVIS (Near Vertical Incidence Sykwave). In addition to increase the availability of channels that are limited by the HF communication system then implemented also MIMO 2x2 antenna by installing 2 antenna’s mounted orthogonal on each transmitter and receiver. MIMO channel modeling HF NVIS requires channel response parameters. Therefore, in this final project the author did some designing of the measurement system to get the channel response as the basis of HF MIMO NVIS channel modeling. With 20 Watt transmitter power has successfully tested the availability of Surabaya−Malang links. From result measurement system of MIMO 2×2 produces 4 channel response which is processed using product detector and LPF with Hamming Window technique.
