Abstract

Sistem proteksi harus dapat bekerja untuk memutus arus gangguan yang muncul pada sistem dengan cepat dan selektif. Adanya sistem proteksi tersebut berfungsi untuk melindungi peralatan dari kerusakan dan pemadaman akibat adanya arus gangguan. Sistem proteksi juga berfungsi untuk membatasi dampak gangguan sehingga kontinuitas suplai daya ke beban tetap optimal. Sistem Kelistrikan di PLTU UP Paiton Unit 1 memiliki sistem distribusi radial dengan busbar 18 kV. Dalam pengoperasiannya busbar tidak terlepas dari kondisi abnormal. Kondisi abnormal pada busbar bersifat merusak. Proteksi diferensial ini digunakan sebagai proteksi utama busbar karena dapat bekerja dengan cepat dan selektif untuk mengisolasi gangguan. Pada PLTU UP Paiton Unit 1 pernah terjadi kesalahan setting rele diferensial bus yang menyebabkan ketika terjadi gangguan di luar daerah pengaman rele diferensial tersebut bekerja. Pada Tugas Akhir ini akan dilakukan analisis kegagalan setting rele diferensial bus pada sistem distribusi radial 18 kV di PLTU UP Paiton Unit 1. Hasil analisis tersebut akan digunakan sebagai referensi untuk menentukan setting rele diferensial bus yang tepat. Sehingga sistem proteksi busbar dapat bekerja dengan cepat dan selektif dalam memutus arus gangguan. Berdasarkan perhitungan, rekomendasi setting rele diferensial bus yang disarankan adalah Idiffsebesar 1,25 A atau 1,5 A dan slope sebesar 75%. ================================================================= The protection system must be able to trip fault current to the power system quickly and selectively. The function of this protection system is to protect the equipment from damage and blackouts due to the fault current. The protection system also capable to limit the impact of fault so that the continuity of power supply to the load remains optimal. Electricity System in PLTU UP Paiton Unit 1 has a radial distribution system with 18 kV busbar. In its operation the busbar is can’t be separated from the abnormal condition. Abnormal condition on the busbar are destructive. This differential protection is used as the main protection busbar because it can work quickly and selectively to isolate the disturbance. In PLTU UP Paiton Unit 1, there has been an error setting of the differential bus that causes when occur disturbance outside the security area, differential relay tripped. In this Final Project will be analyzed failure of arrangement on unit 18 kV in PLTU UP Paiton Unit 1. The results of the analysis will be used as a reference to determine the appropriate setting of the differential bus. The way the busbar protection system can work quickly and selectively through the fault current. Based on the calculation, recommendation of differential relay’s setting is Idiff for 1,25 A or 1,5 A and slope for 75%.
