Abstract

Satellites are orbiting objects of another thing with a certain period of revolution and rotation. There are two types of satellites: natural satellites and artificial satellites. Artificial satellites are launched into orbit at certain positions that are unaffected by gravitational forces and move only to the movement of the earth. This position is referred to as the geostationary position. In circulation, although geostationary orbit can keep a satellite in a fixed place, but the satellites in this orbit will not always be in orbit due to orbital perturbation. So in this final project discussed about analysis and optimal control of satellite motion system to stabilize satellite position using Pontryagin Minimum Principle. The simulation results of this Final Project show that the satellite motion system can return to its geostationary position at 60s with the control given in the form of radial acceleration (u_1) and tangential acceleration (u_2) of 0.005 and with the weight of c_1 and c_2 in the form of impulses multiplied by time per unit distance of c_1=10, c_2=10 to produces an optimum energy of 0.0151.
