Abstract

Seiring dengan berkembangnya teknologi komunikasi, setiap perangkat dituntut untuk mempunyai kinerja yang bagus dan dengan dimensi sekecil mungkin. Salah satunya adalah antena array. Apabila jarak antar elemen antena array diperkecil, maka akan memperbesar mutual coupling yang dapat menyebabkan penurunan efisiensi dan mengubah pola radiasi antena. Untuk mengatasi masalah mutual coupling tersebut, maka isolasi antar elemen harus ditingkatkan. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan isolasi antar elemen antena array adalah dengan menambahkan Cavity Backed Slot pada sekeliling patch antena. Pada Tugas akhir ini dirancang 3 buah desain antena yaitu Antena Mikrostrip Rectangular Patch, Antena Mikrostrip Array, dan Antena Mikrostrip Array dengan Cavity Backed Slot. Ketiga antena tersebut secara berutut-turut bekerja pada frekuensi 3,01 GHz, 3,03 GHz, dan 3,11 GHz. Pengaruh penambahan Cavity Backed Slot pada Antena Mikrostrip Array dievalusi dengan membandingkan dan menganalisa berberapa parameter kinerja antena berupa S-Parameter, Bandwidth, VSWR, Impedansi Input, dan Pola Radiasi antena. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa terjadi penurunan mutual coupling sebesar 2,465 dB. Penambahan Cavity Backed Slot tidak mengubah pola radiasi dari antena tetapi dapat mempengaruhi Bandwidth dan Impedansi Input. ===================================================================================================== As the development of communication technology, every device is required to have good performance and with dimensions as small as possible. One is the antenna array. When the distance between the antenna elements of the array is minimized, it will be mutual reciprocity which can lead to decreased efficiency and changes in antenna radiation pattern. To overcome the problem of lead coupling, then the insertion between elements must be fixed. One way to improve the antenna element is to add Cavity Backed Slot to the patch antenna scope. In this final project designed 3 pieces of antenna design that is Antenna Microstrip Rectangular Patch, Microstrip Array Antenna, and Microstrip Array Antenna with Cavity Backed Slot. The three antennas work on a frequency of 3.01 GHz, 3.03 GHz and 3.11 GHz, respectively. Effect of Cavity Backed Slot Speed on Microstrip Antenna Arrays are evaluated by comparing and analyzing a number of antenna performance parameters. S-Parameters, Bandwidth, VSWR, Input Impedance, and Radiation Pattern of the antenna. The measurement results show the occurrence of mutual coupling of 2.465 dB. The addition of Cavity Backed Slot does not change the radiation pattern of the antenna but can affect the Bandwidth and Input Impedance.
