Abstract
Rumah sakit kelas B menghasilkan air limbah non medis yang berasal dari kamar tiap pasien, kegiatan dapur, pelayanan gizi dan kegiatan laundry. Sedangakan untuk limbah medis berasal dari ruang operasi, radiologi dan laboratorium. Permasalahan pada rumah sakit tersebut adalah effluen yang dihasilkan banyak yang tidak memenuhi baku mutu (Peraturan Gubernur Jawa TImur No. 72 Tahun 2013 tentang kegiatan Rumah Sakit). Sehingga, diperlukan perencanaan pengolahan air limbah (IPAL) pada masing-masing jenis air limbah.
Perencanaan ini mengambil studi kasus pada salah satu kegiatan rumah sakit kelas B di Kota Surabaya yang difokuskan pada perencanaan pengolahaan air limbah non-medis yang menggunakan dua alternatif teknologi dengan menggunakan anaerobic biaffle reactor dan anerobic biofilter. Perencanaan ini diharapkan hasil berupa desain IPAL dan rencanan anggaran biaya tiap unit serta perbandingan kedua alternatif.
Berdasarkan hasil analisa, diperoleh desain alternatif IPAL dengan menggunakan AF lebih unggul dalam aspek kemampuan limbah. Sedangkan untuk ABR lebih unggul dalam aspek kebutuhan lahan dan biaya konstruksi

Class B hospital produces non-medical wastewater from each rooms, kitchen activities, nutrition services and laundry activities. While for medical waste came from operation room, radiology and laboratory. The problem is the effluent that is produced by hospital does not occupy the quality standard (Governor of Java Regulation No. 72 of 2013 on Hospital activities). Therefore, waste water treatment planning (WWTP) is required.
This plan takes a case on one of the Class B hospital activities in Surabaya which is focused on non-medical waste water treatment planning by using two technological alternatives using anaerobic baffle reactor and anerobic biofilter. This planning is expected to get result in the design of WWTP and the budget plan of each alternative unit cost.
Based on analyse in wastewater treatment, the aspect like the best removal efeciency in AF is better than ABR. For land requirements and the need of budget, are obtained that ABR is better
