Abstract
PT. Vale Indonesia adalah perusahaan penghasil nikel terkemuka di dunia. Sistem kelistrikan pada PT. Vale Indonesia dibagi menjadi dua grid yaitu grid Furnace (untuk menyuplai tanur peleburan) dan grid Auxiliary (untuk menyuplai kebutuhan listrik selain tanur peleburan) yang diinterkoneksikan menggunakan dc link. Selama melakukan penelitian di lapangan didapatkan bahwa pada PT. Vale Indonesia saat ini tidak lagi menggunakan mekanisme pelepasan beban secara otomatis. Pada tugas akhir ini dilakukan analisis kestabilan meliputi kestabilan tegangan, kestabilan frekuensi dan kestabilan sudut rotor saat terjadi hubung singkat, motor starting dan generator outage. Pada kasus hubung singkat pada level tegangan 3,3 kV yaitu pada bus R6 setelah gangguan terisolir (CB open) tegangan pada bus 11kV berubah dari 100,4% menjadi 101,9%. Sedangkan untuk hubung singkat pada level tegangan 11 kV setelah gangguan terisolir (CB 13 open) tegangan pada 150 kV pada grid Auxiliary berubah dari 100,483% menjadi 102,3%. Pada kasus motor starting tegangan pada bus 11kV turun dari 100,77% menjadi 100,117%. Pada kasus hubung singkat dan motor starting tidak memberikan dampak yang berarti pada tegangan dan frekuensi pada grid Furnice. Pada kasus lepas dua buah generator yaitu Balambano#1 dan Balambano#2 frekuensi pada grid Furnace turun sampai frekuensi 70,41% sedangkan pada grid Auxiliary frekuensi 99,9682%. Dengan interkoneksi menggunakan dc link gangguan akibat lepasnya generator pada grid Furnice tidak akan memberikan pengaruh yang berarti pada grid Auxiliary sehingga mekanisme pelepasan beban secara otomatis pada grid Auxiliary tidak diperlukan lagi.

PT. Vale Indonesia is a leading nickel company in the world. Electrical system at PT. Vale Indonesia is divided into two grids: Furnice grid (for supplying electric kilns) and Auxiliary grids (for supplying electricity requirements other than electric kiln) interconnected using dc link. During conducting research in the field found that at PT. Vale Indonesia is no longer using the automatic load shedding. In this final project is performed stability analysis including voltage stability, frequency stability and rotor angle stability during short circuit, motor starting and generator outage. In the case of a short circuit at a voltage level of 3.3 kV that is on bus R6 after the isolated disturbance (CB open) the voltage on the 11kV bus changes from 100.4% to 101.9%. As for the short circuit at 11kV voltage level after isolated disturbance (CB 13 open) the voltage at 150 kV on the Auxiliary grid changed from 100.483% to 102.3%. In the case of the starting motor the voltage on the 11kV bus drops from 100.77% to 100,117%. In the case of short circuit and motor starting does not give a significant impact on the voltage and frequency on the grid Furnace. In the case of the outage of two generators Balambano # 1 and Balambano # 2 the frequency on the grid Furnice down to the frequency of 70,41% while on the grid Auxiliary frequency 99.9682%. By interconnection using dc link disturbance due to release of the generator on the grid Furnice will not give a significant effect on the Auxiliary grid so that the automatic load release mechanism on the Auxiliary grid is no longer needed.
