Abstract

Heat Exchanger (HE) adalah suatu alat yang memungkinkan perpindahan panas dan bisa berfungsi sebagai pemanas maupun sebagai pendingin. Biasanya, medium pemanas dipakai uap lewat panas (super heated steam) dan air biasa sebagai air pendingin (cooling water). Permasalahan yang terjadi dalam pengendalian temperatur sistem kerja heat exchanger adalah terjadinya perubahan laju fluida yang akan menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan parameter-parameter pada plant heat exchanger yang dapat mempengaruhi output temperatur pada heat exchanger. Pada tugas akhir ini dilakukan penelitian tentang penggunaan kontroler PID-Neural network pada pengendalian laju debit steam pada heat exchanger karena respon output pada plant heat exchanger selalu mengalami keterlambatan, karena proses perpindahan panas sehingga menimbulkan time delay pada respon output. Simulasi dilakukan menggunakan simulink pada software matlab. Simulasi dilakukan dengan cara membandingkan respon plant pada saat sebelum dipasang kontroler dan sesudah dipasang kontroler. Simulasi juga dilakukan pada saat plant diberi disturbance dan tanpa disturbance dengan beban konstan dan bervariasi. Hasil dari pengujian dapat dilihat bahwa penerapan kontroler PID-Neural network telah mampu beradaptasi terhadap perubahan dari temperatur, dimana error yang terjadi pada penelitian ini mencapi 0,1% dan tidak terjadi osilasi pada respon sinyal output pada plant heat exchanger. ====================================================================== Heat Exchanger (HE) is a tool that allows heat transfer and can serve as a heater or as a coolant. Typically, heating medium is used steam through heat (super heated steam) and water as cooling water (cooling water). Problems that occur in controlling the working temperature of the heat exchanger system is the change of the fluid rate which will cause the change of parameters in the plant heat exchanger which can affect the temperature output at the heat exchanger.In this final project, we conducted a research on the use of PID-Neural network controller on steam discharge rate control on heat exchanger because the output response at heat exchanger plant always experience delay, because heat transfer process causing time delay in output response. Simulation done using simulink in matlab software. The simulation is done by comparing the plant response at the time before the controller is installed and after mounting the controller. Simulation is also done when the plant is given disturbance and without disturbance with constant and variable load.The results of the test can be seen that the application of PID-Neural network controller has been able to adapt to changes in temperature, where the error occurred in this study reach 0.1% and no oscillation in the output signal response at the plant.
