Abstract
Surabaya, sebagai Ibukota provinsi Jawa Timur dan salah satu kota besar di Indonesia merupakan salah satu gerbang perdagangan utama di wilayah Indonesia Timur. Dengan segala potensi, fasilitas dan keunggulan geografisnya Surabaya memiliki potensi ekonomi yang sangat besar. Salah satu bisnis yang berkembang pesat di kota besar adalah bisnis perhotelan. Hotel adalah suatu perusahaan yang dikelola oleh pemiliknya dengan menyediakan makanan, minuman,dan fasilitas kamar untuk tidur. Dengan adanya fasilitas dan aktifitas, hotel menghasilkan limbah berupa limbah padat dan cair. Air limbah hotel adalah air limbah yang dihasilkan oleh kegiatan hotel dimana air limbah ini bisa berupa sisa-sisa kegiatan memasak, kamar mandi, spa, kolam renang, dan lain-lain. Air limbah yang dihasilkan akan mencemari lingkungan jika tidak diolah terlebih dahulu, maka perlu adanya suatu unit pengolahan air limbah untuk mengolah air limbah yang dihasilkan hotel bintang lima. Pada perencanaan ini digunakan anaerobic baffled reactor dan anaerobic filter sebagai alternatif pengolahan air limbah yang dihasilkan hotel bintang lima. Parameter air limbah yang digunakan adalah COD, BOD, TSS, dan minyak dan lemak. Data karakteristik air limbah didapatkan berdasarkan data sekunder hasil penelitian terdahulu dengan objek beberapa hotel bintang lima. Perhitungan dimensi unit anaerobic baffled reactor dan anaerobic filter mengacu pada modul DEWATS. Dari hasil perhitungan desain didapatkan desain rinci IPAL unit Anaerobic Baffled Reactor meliputi dimensi bak ekualisasi (3,1m x 3,1m x 2m), bak kompartemen I (6m x 4,5m x 2,5m), kompartemen II (1,5m x 4,5m x 2,5m) sebanyak 7 buah komartemen. Sedangkan desain rinci unit Anaerobic Filter meliputi bak pengendap (6m x 4,5m x 2,5m) dan tangki media filter (2m x 4,5m x 2,5m) sebanyak 8 buah kompartemen. Nilai anggaran yang dibutuhkan untuk membangun masing-masing alternatif adalah Rp. 147.570.620 dan Rp. 198.933.190.

Surabaya, Indonesia's second largest city and the capital of East Java Province, has been one of the most important and busiest trading city ports in Asia. As its potenitial, facility and geography advantages, Surabaya has great economical potential as example hotel is one of the most rapidly growth bussines in Surabaya. Hotel is a commercial establishment providing lodging, meals, and other guest services. By the existance of facility and human activity, hotel produced waste such as wastewater and solid waste. Hotel wastewater produced from hotel activity sourced from cooking residue, restroom, spa, swimming pool, and etc. Wastewater generated can contaminate ground water so wastewater treatment is needed to treat wastewater before diposed into environment. In this study, wastewater produced is treated by wastewater treatment with anaerobic baffled reactor and anaerobic filter as the alternatives. The parameters of wastewater used are COD, BOD, TSS and oil and grease. Characteristic of wastewater is based on secondary data from earlier experimental studies with five stars hotel as the objects. Calculation of dimension of anaerobic baffled reactor and anaerobic filter refers to DEWATS module. According to the results of calculation, Anaerobic Baffled Reactor is designed with 1 settling tank and 7 compartments. The dimension of Anaerobic Baffled Reactor is 25m x 4,5m x 2,5m within dimension of settling tank is 6m x 4,5m x 2,5; dimension of each compartments are 1,5m x 4,5m x 2,5m. Whereas Anaerobic Filter is designed with 1 septic tank and 8 compartments. The dimension of Anaerobic Filter is 19,2m x 4,5m x 2,5m within dimension of septic tank is 6m x 4,5m x 2,5m; dimension of each compartments are 2m x 4,5m x 2,5m. Estimation cost that needed to build anaerobic baffled reactor and anaerobic filter are IDR 147.570.620 and IDR 198.933.190.
