Abstract

Dalam dua tahun terakhir, banyak hotel budget bermunculan di Kota Surabaya. Hotel budget menawarkan fasilitas kamar standar yang nyaman dengan harga terjangkau. Sumber air limbah kegiatan perhotelan berasal dari kamar mandi (grey water), laundry, dapur, over flow tangki septik (septic tank), air bekas wudhu, dan lain-lain. Air limbah yang tidak diolah dengan baik akan menyebabkan pencemaran pada badan air. Selain berdampak negatif terhadap kesehatan, pencemaran badan air juga dapat menyebabkan berkurangnya sumber air bersih.
Pengolahan air limbah dengan proses biofilter anaerob-aerob adalah proses pengolahan air limbah dengan menggabungkan proses biofilter anaerob dan aerob. Kombinasi proses anaerob dan aerob dapat menurunkan zat organik (BOD dan COD), amonia, deterjen, padatan tersuspensi (SS), fosfat dan lainnya.
Karakteristik air limbah diambil dari salah satu hotel budget di Kota Surabaya. Hasil uji laboratorium sampel air yaitu pH 7,2; TSS 3.972 mg/L; COD 5.680 mg/L; BOD 3.520 mg/L; nitrogen 36,29 mg/L; fosfat 30,02 mg/L. Efluen IPAL akan dimanfaatkan kemali untuk toilet flushing, sehingga direncanakan pula sistem plambing untuk keperluan tersebut. Sistem plambing yang direncanakan untuk bangunan hotel 11 lantai dengan 150 kamar standar.
Biofilter anaerob-aerob menghasilkan efluen dengan konsentrasi TSS 48,76 mg/L, COD 37,56 mg/L, dan BOD 5,47 mg/L. Efisiensi penyisihan mencapai 98,77% TSS, 99,34% COD, dan 99,84% BOD. Konstruksi biofilter anaerob-aerob terdiri dari bahan fiber dan beton dengan dimensi 16,35 m × 3,8 m × 3 m. Perencanaan IPAL membutuhkan biaya untuk tahap konstruksi sebesar Rp 268.674.048,00 dan biaya untuk operasional dan perawatan sebesar Rp 3.420.825,00 per bulan.
Perencanaan sistem plambing untuk pemanfaatan kembali efluen IPAL membutuhkan tangki bawah yang ditanam di bawah lantai basemen dengan dimensi 3 m × 3 m × 2,8 m dan satu tangki silinder untuk tangki atas berkapasitas 22.500 L. Pembangunan sistem plambing membutuhkan biaya sebesar Rp 112.912.751,00.

Budget hotel offered standard comfortable room facilities at an affordable cost. Source of wastewater of hospitality activities came from bathroom (grey water), laundry, kitchen, over flow septic tank, water ablution, and others. Wastewater that not treated properly would cause contamination of water bodies. In addition to the negative impact on health, water body pollution could also cause scarcity of clean water resources.
Wastewater treatment with anaerobic-aerobic biofilter process is a wastewater treatment process by combining anaerobic and aerobic biofilter processes. Combination of anaerobic and aerobic processes can decrease organic matter (BOD and COD), ammonia, detergents, suspended solid (SS), phosphates, and others.
Wastewater characteristic were taken from one of the budget hotels in Surabaya. Laboratorium analysis result for wastewater sampel was pH 7.2; TSS 3.972 mg / L; COD 5.680 mg / L; BOD 3.520 mg / L; Nitrogen 36.29 mg / L; Phosphate 30.02 mg / L. Wastewater treatment plant effluent would be used fpr flushing toilets, so plumbing system was planned for that purpose. Plumbing system was planned for 11 storeys hotel building with 150 standard rooms.
Anaerobic-aerobic biofilter produced effluent with TSS 48,75 mg/L, COD 37,56 mg/L, and BOD 5,47 mg/L. Performance removal efficiency reach 98,77% TSS, 99,34% COD, and 99,84% BOD. Construction of anaerobic-aerobic biofilter consist of fiber and concrete with dimensions 16,35 m × 3,8 m × 3 m. Design of wastewater treatment plant required Rp 268.674.048,00 for construction and Rp 3.420.825,00 per month for operational and maintanance.
Plumbing system planned for wastewater treatment effluent reuse required a bottom tank that planted below the floor with dimensions of 3 m × 3 m × 2,8 m and one cylindrical tank with 22.500 L capacity. Construction cost of plumbing system was Rp Rp 112.912.751,00.
