Abstract

Seiring dengan perkembangan zaman, perkembangan industri di Indonesia saat ini mengalami peningkatan di segala bidang. Peningkatan yang pesat baik secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif juga terjadi dalam industri kimia, dikarenakan kebutuhan akan bahan-bahan kimia di Indonesia akan semakin besar. Namun, kebutuhan berbagai bahan kimia masih sering mengandalkan impor dari luar negeri. Berdasarkan data statistik industri dari Badan Pusat Statistik pada tahun 2016, kebutuhan Amil Alkohol di Indonesia selalu meningkat dari tahun ke tahunnya. Kebutuhan rata-rata terhadap Amil Alkohol per tahunnya yaitu sekitar 7.496 ton dari tahun 2011-2015.
Proses produksi amil alkohol dapat dilakukan dengan beberapa cara. Proses yang biasa digunakan dapat berupa fraksinasi dari minyak fusel, proses oxo alkohol, dan proses klorinasi. Secara konvensional, metode yang paling banyak digunakan dalam pembuatan amil alkohol adalah dengan proses klorinasi.
Pabrik ini direncanakan beroperasi secara kontinyu selama 330 hari/tahun dengan basis 24 jam/hari. Bahan baku pentana yang dibutuhkan sebanyak 20.329 pentana/hari dan klorin sebanyak 20.197 kg klorin/hari dengan bahan baku pendukung Asam Oleat sebagai katalisator. Kebutuhan utilitas meliputi air sanitasi sebanyak 43,2 m3/hari, water make up pendingin sebanyak 73,97 m3/hari, water proses sebanyak 12,14 m3/hari dan air make up boiler sebanyak 29,76 m3/hari, sehingga jumlah air yang dibutuhkan sebesar 158,97 m3/hari

Nowadays, industrial development in indonesia is increased in all fields .A rapid progress both of a qualitative and quantitative also occurred in the chemical industry , because the need for chemicals in indonesia will be bigger .But , the needs of various chemicals often still rely on imports from overseas .Based on the data from industry statistics from the central bureau of statistics in the year 2016 , the needs of amyl alcohol in indonesia is increasing from year to year .The needs of the average against amyl alcohol per year which is about 7.496 tons from 2011-2015 year.
.Any process affecting the production of amyl alcohols can be done by some ways .The normal process can be used in the form of fractionate of fusel oil , the process of oxo alcohol, and the process of chlorination .In an unconventional manner , a method of the most widely used in the manufacture of amyl alcohol is with the process of chlorination.
This factory is planned to operate continuously for 330 days a year with the base 24 hours/day .The raw material of pentane it takes as many as 20.329 of pentane/day and chlorine as many as 20.197 kg/day chlorine with the raw material of a supporter of oleic acid as catalyst. Utility covering the needs of water sanitation 43,2 m3/day, water makeup cooling 73,97 m3/day , water the process of as many as 12,14 m3/day and water makeup boiler 29,76 m3/day , so as to how much water as much as 158,97 m3 per day.
