Abstract

Di dalam industri, conveyor merupakan alat transportasi untuk memindahkan material produksi. Conveyor tidak sekedar memindahkan barang saja melainkan terdapat proses lain seperti menghitung jumlah barang, pengisian cairan dan lain sebagainya karena dilengkapi sensor dan aktuator tertentu. Proses-proses tersebut dapat diotomatiskan dengan menggunakan PLC sebagai kontroler dengan menjalankan program instruksi berupa ladder diagram. Kompleksnya proses otomasi pada conveyor membutuhkan penggunaan relay yang banyak dalam pemrograman PLC dan sulit diterapkan pada PLC yang rendah spesifikasinya. Tentunya pengadaan PLC dengan spesifikasi tinggi membutuhkan biaya yang tidak sedikit. Agar dapat mengatasi permasalahan tersebut maka diperlukan suatu metode yang dapat meminimalkan jumlah relay yang digunakan sehingga program menjadi lebih singkat. Dengan menggunakan state diagram, hasil konstruksi ladder diagram diperoleh sebanyak 32 rung dan kapasitas program yang dihasilkan sebesar 3 KB.

In the industry, conveyor is a transportation tool that move production materials. Conveyor not just move goods but there are other processes such as counting the quantity of goods, filling the liquid and so forth because it is equipped with certain sensors and actuators. These processes can be automated by using PLC as a controller by executing instruction program in the form of ladder diagram. The complexity of automation processes in conveyors requires the use of many relays in PLC programming and is difficult to apply to low-specification PLCs. Of course the procurement of PLC with high specifications require a lot of money. In order to overcome these problems then it is needed a method that can minimize the amount of relays used so that the program becomes shorter. By using state diagram, the result of ladder diagram construction is obtained 32 rung and the program capacity is 3 KB.
