Abstract
Semakin berkembangnya teknologi pada era digital ini menuntut untuk penerapan teknologi informasi di segala sektor. Sehingga penggunaan infrastruktur penunjang IT juga besar seperti komputer dan server.untuk membuat sebuah server dibutuhkan tempat serta biaya yang cukup besar dari biaya pengadaan server, instalasi server, dan biaya untuk merawat server itu sendiri.Untuk itu perlu sebuah teknologi yang bisa digunakan sebagai pengganti server. Salah teknologi yang bisa digunakan adalah menerapkan konsep cloud computing
Kontainer adalah salah satu teknologi cloud computing dimana kita membuat ruang isolasi pada server untuk menjalankan sebuah aplikasi khususnya aplikasi web. Teknologi kontainer sama seperti virtualisasi hanya saja jika virtualisasi kita seolah-olah membuat mesin terpisah didalam komputer sedangkan kontainer hanya membuat ruang isolasi pada kernel yang sama. Selain itu kelebihan kontainer adalah apabila Pada satu server pengguna bisa menjalankan beberapa kontainer secara bersamaan tanpa saling mengganggu satu sama lain.
Hasil membuktikan dengan menerapkan konsep kontainer bisa memenuhi ketersedian server khusunya di ITS. Dengan resource yang ada dapat menjalankan beberapa aplikasi secara bersamaan tanpa menganggu aplikasi yang lain dan setiap aplikasi dapat diatur berapa resource yang akan digunakannya.

The development of technology in the digital era is demanding for the application of information technology in all sectors. So that the use of IT support infrastructure is also large such as computers and servers. To make a server takes place as well as a considerable cost of server procurement costs, server installation, and the cost to maintain the server itself. For that need a technology that can be used instead of server . One technology that can be used is to apply the concept of cloud computing
Container is one of cloud computing technology where we make isolation space on the server to run an application especially web application. Container technology is the same as virtualization only if our virtualization seems to make a separate machine inside the computer while the container only creates isolation space in the same kernel. In addition, the excess container is if on one server the user can run multiple containers simultaneously without interrupting each other.
The results prove by applying the concept of container can meet the availability of the server especially in ITS. With existing resources can run multiple applications simultaneously without disturbing other applications and each application can be set how many resources will be used.
