Abstract

Mobilitas karir yang tinggi serta kurangnya eksplorasi selama tahap awal perkembangan karir menyebabkan komitmen generasi milenial (karyawan muda) terhadap tujuan karir yang spesifik cenderung rendah. Selain itu, banyak perusahaan merasa kesulitan dalam mengelola karyawan muda karena tidak memahami nilai kerja yang dinginkan. Salah satu industri yang didominasi oleh karyawan muda adalah PT. Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Bandara Internasional Juanda. Akan tetapi, pola pengembangan karir dan nilai kerja pada perusahaan belum sesuai dengan persepsi karyawannya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh nilai kerja dan vocational identity terhadap hubungan antara eksplorasi karir dan kesesuaian persepsi karyawan muda. Desain penelitian adalah konfimatif dengan metode single-cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode convenience sampling. Survei dengan menyebarkan kuesioner secara langsung kepada karyawan muda di perusahaan dipilih sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Hierarchical linear modelling digunakan sebagai teknik analisis data. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa eksplorasi karir berpengaruh positif terhadap kesesuaian persepsi melalui mediator vocational identity. Ketika karyawan muda memiliki nilai kerja yang tinggi, maka hubungan antara eksplorasi karir, vocational identity dan kesesuaian persepsi menjadi lebih signifikan.

High career mobility and lack of exploration during the early stages of career development cause the millennial generation commitment to the specific career goals tend to be low. In addition, companies become difficult to manage young employees, because they do not understand the desired work value. One of the industries dominated by young employees is PT. Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Juanda International Airport. Furthermore, the pattern of career development and the work value in the company have not been suitable with the perception of its employees. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of work value and vocational identity on the relationship between career exploration and fit perception of young employee. The study is a confimatory study with single-cross sectional method. Sampling method used in this research is convenience sampling method. Survey is conducted by distributing offline questionnaires to young employees. Hierarchical linear modelling is used as data analysis technique. The results of this research prove that there is positive effect of career exploration on fit perception through the mediation of vocational identity. If young employees have stronger work value, the relationship between career exploration, vocational identity and fit perception become more significant.
