Abstract

Tugas Akhir ini membahas olah gerak bangunan SPAR dalam kondisi terapung bebas dan tertambat serta tegangan tali tambat SPAR. Tali tambat berjumlah 4 buah dan dalam konfigurasi taut. Olah gerak dan tegangan tali SPAR dianalisa dengan metode analitis, numeris dan eksperimen di Laboratorium Hidrodinamika FTK ITS dalam frequency domain. Olah gerak dan dinamika tegangan akan ditinjau terhadap 3 arah gelombang datang yang berbeda (0º; 22,5º dan 45º). Besaran yang dibandingkan adalah RAO (Response Amplitude Operator) SPAR dengan kondisi terapung bebas dan kondisi tertambat, baik untuk gerak bangunan maupun tegangan tali tambat. Penelitian ini menunjukkan arah gelombang mempengaruhi besar gerak dan tegangan tali. Gerak bangunan dalam mode surge dan pitch dari SPAR yang tertinggi terjadi pada arah geombang 0º. Surge sebesar 5.053 m/m dan pitch sebesar 7.344 deg/m pada kondisi tertambat. Sedangkan, gerakan heave menunjukkan bentuk yang sama dari 3 arah gelombang tersebut (0.091 m/m, kondisi tertambat). Tegangan dari tali akan membesar jika arah datang gelombang sejajar dengan tali tersebut, dengan nilai terbesar 399.160 ton/m. =================================================================== This final project investigates motion of a SPAR, both in free floating and moored condition, and its mooring tension dynamic. The SPAR is moored to 4 mooring lines in taut configuration. Motion and mooring dynamic are studied in analytical, numerical and experimental method. Experiment is conducted in Hydrodynamics Laboratory of FTK ITS in frequency domain to verify analytical and numerical analysis. Numerical method is calculated using a hydrodynamic computation software (MOSES). It is found that MOSES shows similar result with analytical and experiment method both motions and mooring tensions of SPAR. Parametric study is then conducted for motions and mooring tension dynamics in 3 wave headings (0º; 22,5º and 45º) using numerical method. Compared to free floating condition, heave motion of moored SPAR decreases significantly. This study also shows that motion and mooring tension dynamic of moored SPAR are effected by wave headings. In moored condition, surge RAO is 5.053 m/m and pitch RAO is 7.344 deg/m, yet there is no significant change of heave motion (0.091 m/m). It also can be seen that there is no natural frequency shifting among 3 particular wave headings. Each mooring lines shows different behavior among the others for three particular wave headings that tension increases in lines which are parallel to wave propagation with highest tension is 399.160 ton/m.
