Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi heat input dan bentuk kampuh pada pengelasan SMAW pelat baja A36 terhadap sifat mekanik dan ketahanan korosi di lingkungan laut. Variasi heat input 25 kj/mm, 34 kj/mm, 57 kj/mm dan variasi bentuk kampuh yaitu single V, U, dan double V. Ketebelan pelat baja A36 10 mm, menggunakan elektroda E 7018 dengan diameter 3,2 mm. Material di uji mekanik yaitu, uji tarik, uji mikro, uji kekerasan, dan uji korosi. Dengan teori semakin kuat atau keras suat material maka semakin rendah laju korosi nya. Spesimen dengan heat input 25 kj/mm dengan kampuh berbentuk single V memiliki nilai ultimate strength, kekerasan, laju korosi masing-masing sebesar 509,15 Mpa, 178 HVN, 0,8 mm/year. Spesimen dengan heat input 34 kj/mm dengan kampuh berbentuk single V memiliki nilai ultimate strength, kekerasan, laju korosi masing-masing sebesar 479,12 Mpa, 186,6 HVN, 0,4 mm/year. Spesimen dengan heat input 57 kj/mm dengan kampuh berbentuk single V memiliki nilai ultimate strength, kekerasan, laju korosi masing-masing sebesar 494,74 Mpa, 152,67 HVN, 0,87 mm/year. Spesimen dengan heat input 25 kj/mm dengan kampuh berbentuk U memiliki nilai ultimate strength, kekerasan, laju korosi masing-masing sebesar 474,2 Mpa, 180,33 HVN, 1,32 mm/year. Spesimen dengan heat input 34 kj/mm dengan kampuh berbentuk U memiliki nilai ultimate strength, kekerasan, laju korosi masing-masing sebesar 510,18 Mpa, 181,67 HVN, 0,78 mm/year. Spesimen dengan heat input 57 kj/mm dengan kampuh berbentuk U memiliki nilai ultimate strength, kekerasan, laju korosi masing-masing sebesar 513,33 Mpa, 187,33 HVN, 0,87 mm/year. Spesimen dengan heat input 25 kj/mm dengan kampuh berbentuk double V memiliki nilai ultimate strength, kekerasan, laju korosi masing-masing sebesar 501,89 Mpa, 164,33 HVN, 0,59 mm/year. Spesimen dengan heat input 34 kj/mm dengan kampuh berbentuk double V memiliki nilai ultimate strength, kekerasan, laju korosi masing-masing sebesar 527,48 Mpa, 192,33 HVN, 0,33 mm/year. Spesimen dengan heat input 57 kj/mm dengan kampuh berbentuk double V memiliki nilai ultimate strength, kekerasan, laju korosi masing-masing sebesar 489,02 Mpa, 149,67 HVN, 0,61 mm/year. =================================================================== The objective of this research is to know the variation of heat input and groove shape in SMAW welding A36 steel plate towards mechanical properties and corrosion resistance in marine environment. The variations of heat input is 25 kj / mm, 34 kj / mm, 57 kj / mm and variations of the groove shape are single V, U, and double V. The thickness of A36 is 10 mm, using E 7018 electrode with 3.2 mm diameter. Material in mechanical test that is, tensile test, metallography test, hardness test, and corrosion test. With the theory of the stronger or harder the material the lower the rate of its corrosion. Specimens with heat input 25 kj/mm with a single V-shaped groove have ultimate strength, hardness, corrosion rate are 509.15 Mpa, 178 HVN, 0.8 mm/year. Specimens with a heat input 34 kj/mm with a single V-shaped groove have ultimate strength, hardness, corrosion rate are 479.12 Mpa, 186.6 HVN, 0.4 mm/year. Specimens with heat input 57 kj/mm with a V-shaped groove have ultimate strength, hardness, corrosion rate are 494,74 Mpa, 152,67 HVN, 0.87 mm/year. Specimens with heta input 25 kj/mm with U-shaped groove have ultimate strength, hardness, corrosion rate are 474.2 Mpa, 180.33 HVN, 1.32 mm/year. Specimens with heta input 34 kj/mm with U-shaped groove have ultimate strength, hardness, corrosion rate are 510.18 Mpa, 181,67 HVN, 0.78 mm/year. Specimens with heta input 57 kj/mm with U-shaped groove have ultimate strength, hardness, corrosion rate are 513.33 Mpa, 187.33 HVN, 0.87 mm/year. Specimens with heat input 25 kj/mm with double V-shaped groove have ultimate strength, hardness, corrosion rate are 501,89 Mpa, 164,33 HVN, 0.59 mm/year. Specimens with a heat input 34 kj/mm with a double V-shaped groove have ultimate strength, hardness, corrosion rate are 527.48 Mpa, 192.33 HVN, 0.33 mm/year. Specimens with heat input 57 kj/mm with double V-shaped groove have ultimate strength, hardness, corrosion rate are 489,02 Mpa, 149,67 HVN, 0.61 mm/year.
