Abstract
Pengetahuan mengenai run-up gelombang penting untuk menentukan desain puncak struktur seawall yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari kondisi gelombang dan kemiringan armor seawall unit batu pecah terhadap besarnya run-up gelombang. Studi eksperimen dilakukan di Laboratorium Lingkungan dan Energi Laut, Jurusan Teknik Kelautan, FTK-ITS Surabaya. Skala model yang digunakan 1:25 dengan empat variasi tinggi gelombang (H), dua variasi periode gelombang (T), dan tiga variasi sudut kemiringan armor (θ). Parameter yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah run-up relatif (Ru/H), bilangan iribarren (ξ) dan kecuraman gelombang (H/gT2). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai run-up relatif akan berbanding lurus dengan bilangan iribarren (ξ). Sedangkan kecuraman gelombang (H/gT2) akan berbanding terbalik dengan run-up relatif (Ru/H). Nilai Ru/H terbesar pada kemiringan 1:1,15 adalah 1,601, kemiringan 1:1,5 adalah 1,473 dan kemiringan 1:2 adalah 1,396. Nilai run-up relatif semakin menurun dengan semakin landainya kemiringan armor seawall.

Knowledge on wave run-up level is important for a proper design of the crest
height of coastal structure. The research aims to determine the effect of wave
conditions and rubble mound armored slope againts amount of wave run-up. The
experimental study was conducted in Enviromental and Ocean Energy
Laboratory, Departement of Ocean Engineering, Faculty of Marine Technology,
ITS Surabaya. A physical model with scale 1:25 was constructed with four
variations of wave height (H), two variations of wave period (T), and three
variations of slope (θ). Parameter used for this research are relative run-up
(Ru/H), Iribarren number (ξ), and wave steepness (H/gT2). The result showed that
relative run-up (Ru/H) directly propotional with value of iribarren number (ξ),
while wave steepness (H/gT2) will inversely propotional with relative run-up
(Ru/H). The highest value of Ru/H on 1:1,15 slope = 1,601, 1:1,5 slope = 1,473,
and 1:2 slope = 1,396. The value of relative run-up will decrease with more gentle
slope.
