Abstract

Ligan N,N’-bis(salisiliden)-1,2-fenilendiamin telah berhasil disintesis. Struktur ligan hasil sintesis dibuktikan dengan hasil analisis 1H NMR dan analisis gugus fungsi dengan FTIR. Ligan N,N’-bis(salisiliden)-1,2-fenilendiamin dikomplekskan dengan ion logam Zn(II), diperoleh kompleks yang berbentuk jarum berwarna kuning terang dengan rendemen sebesar 98%. Formula kompleks yang dihasilkan berdasarkan karakterisasi menggunakan ESI-MS, FTIR, AAS dan TGA adalah [Zn(L)]·1/2H2O. Uji toksisitas ligan dan kompleks hasil sintesis dengan metode Brine Shrimp Lethality Test menghasilkan nilai LC50 sebesar 163,33 μg/mL dan 187,63 μg/ml.

N,N’-bis(salicylidene)-1,2-phenylenediamine ligand had been synthesized. Structure of ligand was confirmed on the basis of 1H NMR and FTIR analysis. N,N’-bis(salicylidene)-1,2-phenylenediamine ligand was complexed with Zn(II) metal ion. Solid light-yellow like a needle complex was obtained (98%). The composition of complex was established by means of ESI-MS, FTIR, AAS and TGA. The molecular formula of complex was [Zn(L)]·1/2H2O. The toxicity test of ligand and complex with Brine Shrimp Lethality Test method showed LC50 value equal to 163,33 μg/mL and 187,63 μg/ml, respectively.
