Abstract

Pengendalian level air pada steam drum sangatlah penting yang mana akan berpengaruh pada laju aliran feedwater yang masuk. Untuk menjaga level tetap pada setpoint, variable yang nilainya dimanipulasi adalah laju aliran feed water melalui operasi kerja turbine boiler feed pump. Tak jarang pada sistem pengendalian level terjadi kesalahan pada sensor sehingga kontroler akan mengirim sinyal yang salah kepada turbine boiler feed pump. Pada Tugas Akhir ini dilakukan perancangan active fault tolerant control (AFTC) yang mampu bekerja ketika terdapat kesalahan pada sensor dan dapat mempertahankan performansi sistem. Langkah awal yang dilakukan adalah pemodelan dari proses yang terjadi pada steam drum. Selanjutnya dilakukan perancangan observer dimana gain observer didapat dengan perhitungan metode pole placement. Langkah terakhir adalah merancang rekonfigurasi kontrol. Uji performansi yang diberikan berupa kesalahan sensitivitas dan kesalahan bias. Pada sistem AFTC dengan kesalahan sensitivitas 8% didapatkan nilai maximum overshoot 0,71%, settling time 20 detik, dan error steady state 0,22%. Sedangkan sistem tanpa AFTC didapatkan nilai maximum overshoot 9,18%, settling time 30 detik, dan error steady state 8,78%.

Water level control in steam drum is very important. This control will influence the feed water flow rate that get inside. To keep the level stay at set point, the manipulated variable is feed water flow rate based on turbine boiler feed pump operation. It is not rare that sensor become error the controller will give wrong signal to turbine boiler feedpump. In this final project is designed an active fault tolerant control (AFTC) that can work even in control valve error operation or there is fault in control valve operation and still can keep the system performance. At first, got the mathematical model of the process id steam drum. Then got the observer when the gain of observer is got from pole placement method. The final step is the reconfiguration control system. The test using sensitivity fault and bias fault. When the AFTC system tested using 8% of sensitivity fault got the value of maximum overshoot is 0,71%, settling time is 20, and error steady state is 0,22% seconds. While system without AFTC got the value of maximum overshoot is 9,18%, settling time is 30 seconds, and error steady state 8,78%.
