Abstract

“Architecture must solve complex problems. We must understand and use technology, we must create buildings which are safe and dry respectful of context and neighbors, and face all the myriad of issues of social responsibility and even please the client” (Frank Gehry, 1989).

Architecture exist as a problem solver and believed can solve any kind of problems, so that it can be improve the user’s quality of life. “Architecture must solve complex problems. We must understand and use technology, we must create buildings which are safe and dry respectful of context and neighbors, and face all the myriad of issues of social responsibility and even please the client” (Frank Gehry, 1989).
To be a social being that is modified to socialize and interact with each other means that people always need others. Direct social interaction is one way to get people connected to each other. In interacting, humans have their own personal space, one of the factors affecting the large and small from the distance of personal space is gender. The feminist movement shows the need for women's larger personal space than men, but by not ruling out the need for social interaction as a social being.
Edward T. Hall writes the relationship between man and space, according to him one of our important feelings about space is a territorial feeling. This feeling fulfills the basic need for self-identity, comfort and security in each person. Using the feminism and territorial approach, this architectural object is designed to improve the quality of life of women as well as by using geometry as authorities as the design method.
