Abstract

Bali sebagai salah satu daerah tujuan wisata favorit, merupakan primadona bagi para wisatawan yang berkunjung ke Indonesia. Bali memiliki keindahan alam mulai dari pantai – pantai yang indah, iklim tropisnya serta unsur budaya tradisionalnya yang sangat kental dan masih terjaga hingga saat ini. Resor hotel menjadi akomodasi yang banyak dijadikan pilihan wisatawan ketika berkunjung ke Bali.

Pengguna resor hotel pasti akan melalui area lobi terlebih dahulu sebelum menikmati fasilitas lain yang ada di resor hotel. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam Tugas Akhir ini adalah observasi, kuisioner, studi literature dan studi image board. Studi image board merupakan studi dengan mencari bobot desain yang diterapkan berdasarkan referensi gambar maupun foto yang relevan melalui buku, jurnal, artikel, dan situs internet. Keseluruhan konsep desain adalah memadukan dua kebudayaan yang berbeda namun masih sesuai dengan coorporate image resor hotel Kempinski.

Desain interior hotel resor Kempinski memiliki beberapa fasilitas baru pada area lobi dengan penambahan area library dan gallery. Hal tersebut guna meningkatkan daya saing antara resor hotel yang ada di Bali. Desain lobi resor hotel yang menarik diharapkan akan berpengaruh terhadap minat pengunjung agar tertarik mengunjungi resor hotel untuk kedua bahkan kesekian kalinya. Selain itu dengan menerapkan desain neo vernakular Bali dapat dijadikan alat untuk menunjukan kekayaan budaya Indonesia khusunya budaya Bali ke dunia internasional.

Bali as one of the favorite tourist destinations, is a well known for the tourists who visit Indonesia. Bali has a natural beauty ranging from beautiful beaches, tropical climate and elements of traditional culture that is very thick and still awake to this day. The hotel resort becomes the accomodation that many tourists choose when visiting Bali.

The hotel resort user will definitely go through the lobby area first before enjoying the other facilities at the resort hotel. Data collection techniques used in this final project are observation, questionnaire, literature study and image board study. An image board study is a study by looking for design weights that are applied based on relevant reference images and photos through books, journals, articles, and internet sites. The overall design concept is to combine two different cultures but still in accordance with the coorporate image of the Kempinski hotel resort.

The interior design of the Kempinski resort hotel has several new facilities in the lobby area with the addition of a library and gallery area. This is to improve the competitiveness between resort hotels in Bali. The attractive hotel resort lobby design is expected to affect the interest of visitors to be interested in visiting the hotel resort for the second even the umpteenth time. In addition, by applying the design of Bali vernacular can be used as a tool to show the cultural richness of Indonesia especially Balinese culture to the international world.
