Abstract
Pada era globalisasi yang sudah menjunjung tinggi kesetaraan jenis kelamin dalam dunia kerja memberikan banyak kesempatan bagi wanita untuk menggeluti perannya dalam meniti karir. Namun banyak wanita yang mengalami kendala pengasuhan anak saat akan ditinggal bekerja. Dalam hal tersebut, Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Setda Kota Surabaya yang beranggotakan istri PNS juga menemui kendala serupa. Sedangkan dalam hal pekerjaan, mereka dituntut untuk aktif berpartisipasi pada berbagai kegiatan yang diselenggarakan. Oleh karena itu, organisasi ini berinisiatif untuk membangun sebuah daycare guna memenuhi kebutuhan pengasuhan anak dengan tujuan memberdayakan keluarga (Aparatur Sipil Negara) ASN.
Perencanaan desain interior Daycare DWP Setda Kota Surabaya ini berdasarkan observasi studi eksisting lapangan, depth interview dengan penanggungjawab harian, penyebaran kuisioner, serta analisa kebutuhan pengunjung. Melalui beberapa metode diatas maka disusunlah sebuah konsep Desain Interior Daycare Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Setda Kota Surabaya dengan Konsep Kemaritiman yang Edukatif. Perencanaan konsep ini juga bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas berupa penambahan fasilitas ruang yang dibutuhkan, menciptakan ruang interior yang mendukung perkembangan aspek kognitif (kreativitas), afektif (rasa senang) dan psikomotorik (aktivitas) anak, sekaligus menjadi tempat bermain yang menyenangkan.
Desain kemaritiman yang edukatif diwujudkan melalui pengaplikasian mural tokoh karakter khas anak seperti “Spongebob Squarepants” pada ruang tidur 0-2 tahun, “Finding Dory”, dan “Finding Nemo”, serta bentukan furnitur yang diadaptasi dari biota dan ekosistem laut pada area lobby dan ruang belajar. Selain tema yang spesifik pada setiap ruang, warna biru laut yang dipadukan dengan cokelat khas pasir pantai menambah suasana baru yang lebih menyenangkan. Sirkulasi informatif dan layout ruang eksplortif diterapkan untuk pengelompokan area pada setiap ruang, seperti area bermain, belajar, dan berekspresi pada ruang belajar. Bentukan geometris pun diperkenalkan kepada anak usia dini sebagai elemen estetis yang menempel pada sebagian ruang belajar.
In the era of globalization that has upheld the gender equality in the area of work, provides many opportunities for women to engage her role in pursuing a career. But women who experience constraints of child care will be left to work. In that case, the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of Surabaya Secretary whose members are civil servants also encounters similar obstacles. While in terms of work, they are required to actively participate in various activities held. Therefore, this organization took the initiative to build a daycare to meet the needs of childcare with the aim of empowering the family (State Civil Apparatus).
The planning of the daycare design is based on observation of existing field studies, depth interviews with person in charge, questionnaire distribution, and analysis of visitor needs. Through some of the methods, the writer compiled a concept of Interior Design of Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Secretary of Surabaya City Daycare with the Concept of Educative Maritime. The concept also aims to improve the quality of some additional facilities needed, creating an interior space that supports the development of cognitive (creativity), affective (playful) and psychomotor (activities) of children, as well as a fun playground.
The educative maritime design is manifested through the mural of typical child characters such as "Spongebob Squarepants" in the baby sleeping area, "Finding Dory", and "Finding Nemo", as well as furniture formation adapted from biota and marine ecosystems in the lobby area and study room. In addition to a specific theme in every space, the navy blue combined with the distinctive brown sand beach adds more fun atmosphere towards the lobby nuance. Informative circulation and explorative space layouts are applied to distinguish areas in each room, such as playground space, learning space, and expression space in the study room. Geometric formation is introduced to the children as an aesthetic element that attached to some study space such as the wall.
