Abstract
Tujuan utama dari tugas akhir ini adalah merancang aplikasi komputer berbasis android untuk
menunjang owner surveyor dalam mengawasi pembangunan kapal baru berbahan FRP.
Pertama, observasi dilakukan terhadap aktivitas pengawasan beberapa pembangunan kapal
baru FRP. Kedua, aplikasi komputer berbasis android untuk sistem pengawasan dirancang
setelah pembuatan sebuah mock up. Ketiga, aplikasi diuji-cobakan dan diverifikasi untuk
mengetahui kelebihan dan kelemahan aplikasi. Perancangan aplikasi dilakukan dengan
membuat mock-up, mendesain interface, membuat database dan pengkodingan dari sistem
aplikasi. Konten-konten dan fitur-fitur dari aplikasi ini dirancang untuk mendukung kinerja
dari owner surveyor di dalam proses pengawasan. Fitur-fitur telah dilengkapi sesuai dengan
tahapan-tahapan proses pembangunan kapal FRP mulai dari procurement, laminasi, sea trial
hingga progress pembangunan kapal. Hasil dari pengujian tersebut cukup memuaskan
menurut beberapa responden yang memiliki pengalaman di dalam mengawasi pembangunan kapal baru berbahan FRP.

The main objective of this final project is to design android-based computer application to
support the owner surveyor for supervising the new FRP ship construction. Firstly, an
observation was carried out to the activities of supervising several new FRP ship
constructions. Secondly, the android-based computer application for the supervision of system
was designed after making a mock up. Thirdly, the application was tested and verified to find
out the advantages and disadvantages. The design of application was executed by making the
mock-up, designing the interface, making the database and coding of the application system.
The contents and features of this application were designed to support the performance of
owner surveyors in the process of supervising. The features have completed with the stages of
FRP ship construction process starting from procurement, lamination, sea trial until the
progress of the ship construction. The result of testing is satisfied enough according to several
respondents who have experiences of supervising the new ship construction of FRP.
