Abstract

Penggunaan air dalam arsitektur masih sebagai pelengkap atau hiasan. Hal ini diperhatikan dari banyaknya hasil rancangan yang kehadiran airnya dapat ditiadakan dan dihilangkan. Penelitian dalam melakukan pengembangan fungsional air dalam arsitektur menjadi tujuan utama.
Metode metafora bebas atau Synectic Methode, dianggap tepat dikarenakan kemudahan memilih metafora yang berhubungan dengan air atau menyerupai tanpa adanya batasan. Hal ini berpengaruh dalam memerluas jangkauan eksplorasi dalam desain. Hal tersebut membantu dalam penciptaan fitur desain dan vocal point dalam bangunan. Fitur yang dirancang dalam menggunakan metafora juga memberikan pemaknaan yang beragam pada hasil akhirnya berdasarkan pengamatnya.

A long as architecture were realized by human, water always became part in it.
But water was only designed as complement in architecture, void filler and
recreational purpose tha
t its presence at certain phase and form often inefficient and
functional.
Water still has unexplored potential to search as an important elemen in
architecture. The author want to bring this issue as an important case. To bring clarity
towards it, where
author try to search and explore water into significant element of
architecture.
Water tried to replace some basic architecture. With water design fully
function. Basic element of architecture that replaced is a concrete architecture form
such wall, roof
, or abstract.
Author explored with context that still have relation with water as exploration
design. Exploration that has been done following certain rules with relation to site and
others. In the beginning of exploration, author does not have any point
of view or
certain form to find. With other word, writer following architecture construction plot
to have replacemen architecture with water.
